COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Bohemian Black Lager is a rare and delicious style of beer, referred to in Germany as "Schwarzbier". Shiner Bohemian Black Lager remains true to this old-world style by using imported Czech Saaz and Styrains Hops and select roasted malts to make it our darkest beer. First brewed to commemorate our 97th anniversary, this Bohemian Black Lager remains true to the old-world heritage of the German and Czech immigrants that settled Shiner. Prosit!

Chocolate malt and a smooth drinking lager beer. This nicely balanced brew is well worth a try.

From mix six. Dark, toasty malts. Some caramel. Tad thin. Wasn't as horrible as some shiner, but nothing special.

Bought at a market place. Pours dark with a tan head. Smells of licorice and a tad earth and maybe a hint of smoke. tastes of licorice and some dark chocolate. Palate was a tad watery. Overall? This is pretty much a staple at the local Shiner Texas brewery, simply better than a Budweiser.

It’s just not a decent Black Lager. The taste is far too light. It’s got a decent head but, it has no complexity. The taste quickly fades from the tounge and the beer is very watery tasting.

12oz bottle to tulip. Pours black/ruby red, cream ring head. Aroma of chocolate, licorice, oatmeal. Taste of same with roasted malt backbone. Light body, way too much carb.

12 oz. into pint glass. Poured with minimal head that dissipated quickly but left a wonderful black color. Taste was very very light and a little sweet. Surprising but refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Opaque Black Color, Medium Foam Head, Decent Lacing. Faint Toasted Malt Aroma. Lightly Toasted Malt, Light Bitter Finish. Light and Mellow. Simple but Drinkable and one of better ones from Shiner Lineup... Decent. OK.
