A pretty good brew... not as good as 97 though. Clear deep golden color... pretty malty, both in flavor and aroma. A little bit sweet as well. 12 oz. bottle

Bottle from Jungle Jimís. Poured clear amber color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate roasted malt aroma. Medium body with lively carbonation. Medium sweet toasted flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable beer.

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2009 I may be giving it too low an aroma score, as I have a bit of a cold and I canít smell so well. Never the less I am catching a delightfully sweet aroma of malt. The head pours nice ad billowy but sadly diminishes, leaving a lasting small head and just a little lace on the glass. At first I had a very good crisp and dry taste, after a few sips thereís a good malty sweetness at the back of the tongue, which takes over the palate halfway through the bottle. Itís on the malty side, but you can really taste the hops, well balanced. I very much expected a Marzen here, but it indeed is not, which pleasantly surprised me. A very smooth beer with a fantastic taste, certainly something I would not hesitate serving to guests, certainly not in a bad way whatsoever. The smoothness and sort of inoffensiveness makes it slightly less special, never the less it is delightful. Recommended, pick some up while it still exists.

The 12 ounce bottle poured a perfectly clear amber beverage with an average sized foamy white head that was mostly diminishing but left some lacing on the glass. The aroma was a pleasant mix of sweet roasted malt, bread and light hops. The body was medium with average carbonation and a smooth but somewhat watery texture. The flavor starts out lightly sweet but gradually takes on more of a bitter character toward the end of the moderately long finish.

Deep golden color out of the bottle with a fizzy white head and a grainy malt nose. Same grainy sensation in the flavors, with some caramel sweetness. The finish has an almost burnt toast taste to it.

Bottle. Slightly sour corn malt aroma. Medium amber with large head. Sweet corn syrup and toasted malt flavor - hint of pecans. LIght hops finish. Decent beer - although not cloying, still a bit too sweet for me.

12 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquor - Pours a clear deep copper color with a two finger thick off white head. Lively tiny bubble carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma is light grain and toasted malt, and light herbal hops. Flavor is toasted malt. A smooth, medium body beer. Pretty good.

355 ml bottle. Pours a nice amber with a dense white head. Nice malty aroma. Medium to light body. Initially semi-sweet turning to a very slight hoppy finish. Decent balance. Better than average Shiner.

For starters it has a very nice aroma, and the color is exactly what Iím looking for in an amber. Complex taste, as well, a hint of blonde behind the spices.
