3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle received in trade, labeled Shiner Premium Beer.
Pours a crystal clear medium golden color with a decent sized bubbly white head that quickly dissipates to wisps of foam on top. Aromas of light bready pilsner malt with a hint of either caramelized sugar or caramel flavoring and a hint of prune type fruits. Very faint aromas of earthy spicy hops round us out. The flavor is a bit sugary sweet with hints of prune or fruit. Little to no hop flavor and just enough bitterness to keep this from cloying. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Decent brew, but nothing to go out of your way to try like I did.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Pale, clear gold with a faint aroma. Kind of just a watery beer. Wouldn't classify as great, just ok.

2.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
For the ABV, its not a bad brew. Light refreshing classic beer flavors, nice mouthfeel sweet. No head. I guess this is your typical american lager.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
@ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear deep gold color, nice head that quickly drops to the rim, no lace. Very still beer. Taste is malt and adjuncts, not much different from the myriad of big brand offerings. It moves un-ambitiously through the finish, when a hint of bitters shows, only to be repelled by more sweet adjunct. Oh, well.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle from the six type summer sampler case. Plenty of golden hues with a medium body. Some sweetness detected. Surprised this wasn’t so bad. Good antidote for the summer heat.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pale, clear gold with a faint grassy aroma and no head, lots of bubbles. Very simple, clean traditional lager - faint hoppy taste, smooth and a bit dry. Refreshing with a nice effervescence. Not remarkable which is maybe why it gets so many poor ratings, but I think it’s a good example of a basic lager. I’m also partial to Shiner since I used to throw back a lot of them at the local icehouse in Houston after work. :)
