Golden yellwo in color, clear with a thin white head. Nice aroma with a easy drinking finish. This was good and nice and perfect for that hard working after work beer.

A clear light yellow body with no head. Mild toasted malts on the aroma and some corn. Flavor was very delicate. It was pretty much a mild toasted malt flavor. No corn flavors, which was a good thing. Finish was smooth and crisp. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Premium lager, my ass. This is a pale lager through and through. Pale golden in color with small foamy head . Light cereal, corn aroma. taste is also weak, although mouthfeel is faitly slick and has some body. No lngering aftertaste. Macro lager all the way.

Under the "Shiner Premium" label. The appearance is not great: pale yellow, not a hint of carbonation bubbles. Pale shadow of a head. Not to be too derogatory at first, but it looks like typical macro crap. Aroma is corn syrup in a bowl of Rice Krispies -- though the lack of carbonation gives it no snap, crackle or pop. Not awful, but awfully nondescript. Taste is typical macro lager. Don’t really need to go too deeply into it since I don’t think they put a lot of thought into making it. The feel is actually decent: a little chewy, somewhat fizzy. Surprising given the lack of carbonation. If cheap, I’m sure it’s a decent option if you like that kinda thing. Felt like kind of a waste of 1/6 of a $8.99 six pack.

Bottle. Yellow color. Medium head. Aroma, watery, weak straw. Taste is a watery straw and hay.

Poured from a "Shiner Premium Beer" bottle which supposedly is the same as the Blonde but marketed slightly differently. Strong carbonation is noticed immediately, medium cap of white head, very clear and extra light straw in color. Strong aroma of lager-like esters, definite sulfur, with notes of dried hay. It’s a clean and nearly flavorless lager hinting at flaked corn. No distinct malt flavors or esters, no noticeable hop varieties. Even with gobs of carbonation this beer finishes with a watery palate and leaves a slightly medicinal aftertaste.

This is your regular pale lager. Did have a crisp clean taste, no distinguishable hops, pretty much similar to many big brands.

Nov. 27, 2013; 12 oz. bottle. Not much to write home about here. A pale lager with a vaguely grassy/lemony aroma, but no taste or palate to speak of. Nothing offensive, just a cipher of a brew.

From bottle. Light gold color with some white head. Not much nose--some hay and grain. Big time carbonation, some grainy flavor. Clean finish. Unimaginative and unnecessary.

Bottle. It’s a clear pale beer with a small, white head. The aroma is pretty weak, with hay, grass notes and pale malts. Quite uninteresting, and that fits the flavor too. But at least the flavor has some citrus and a vague bitterness. Medium body, quite dry and perhaps a bit too heavily carbonated. Short finish with grass, hay and pale malts. Well, it drinks easy, but fails big time to interest me. 131114
