12 ounce bottle from Harris Teeter Barracks Road Charlottesville, VA, opened 5/1/11. Pours a crystal clear golden color with a thin fizzy white head that quickly fades. Aroma of grassy and floral hops, grain and corn. The taste is corn, grain and a grassy hop finish. A bit on the thin side.

UPDATED: AUG 3, 2011 Bottle: I don’t get the corn sweetness in the aroma that some do, I’m only smelling sweet maltiness... It’s a light pale yellow color with a disappointing head that quickly fades away. It has a sweet flavor, but not much of one. The biggest thing I notice about this beer is the very lively carbonation, that coupled with the un-offensiveness of it’s very mild flavor makes it a refreshing drink, but a bit boring for me.

12oz bottle from the Shiner Family Reunion variety pack, shared with my cousin. Easily the worst of the bunch. Perfectly clear, pale yellow color, minimal head. Unpleasant musky nose-smell, thick carbonation. Empty beer-can-left-out-from-last-night aroma. E: "It’s like water."

Poured from bottle. Faint toasted wheat aroma. Light gold, big bubbled head does not last. Toast malt with a touch of hops here, dry feel, kinda bites at finish. Typical lager, but why is it called "blonde"?

pretty straight forward, lots of corn adjuncts with a taste of straight malt and slightly alcohol taste. very little hops. just a easy session beer.

Bottle from Bottle King. Light straw body with big head. Nose of grains and corn. Taste is also quite corny, some hop notes and water. Nice texture. Not overly complex.

Part of the shiner family pack. Not as bad as I expected. Reasonable pilsener quality. Would have this one again

Just call it Shiner Premium. This is the beer that I have enjoyed for 40 years.
