A true golden lager with a golden heritage of natural brewing.

muzzlehatch (4420) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - OCT 14, 2006
12 oz bottle from Woodmans on Gammon Road, Madison (Oct 2006) served a tad above fridge temperature in a Corsendonk glass. Pale quite clear gold with a moderate immediately dying white head, some continuous bubbling and more than a hint of lace.....smooth, dull pale malty nose with unobtrusive faint German hops trying to peak through, doesnít smell really fresh though not exactly stale either....drinkable, slightly sticky, salty pale malts with barely any hop profile but just enough faint grassiness to keep it from being really cloying, no serious problems here and a nice level of carbonation keep this a reasonable though very boring cheap pils.

Hangover (1092) - Atlanta, Alabama, USA - OCT 3, 2006
Clear yellow pour with a fizzy and very short lived head. Aroma is of grass and hay. Some honey creeps into the taste along with some unwelcome cardboard. Carbonation level is right for a pils. Moderate bitterness. Bleh.

hotstuff (4403) - Indiana, USA - OCT 2, 2006
Bottle. White head, sparse lacing, minimal carbonation, transparent, and a yellow golden hue. Sweet, malty and corn nose. Blah. Flavor was ever so slightly better than the nose-sweet, malty, and somewhat refreshing tasting. Might have tasted better on a hot day, but it wasnít a hot day. Mouthfeel was smooth. Light body.

I had heard great things, but found this kto be watery and weak. A little hoppy with some citrus but nothing strong to speak of. I like their Bock better.

Looks like and american ale, could not have picked it out of a line up. No real flavor to speak of, may have improved with more in the citrus department--but even that was weak. Bitter finish.

The aroma is malty with some yeast and resin hops. The appearance is deep gold with a medium head. The flavor has a medicinal bitterness that is not great but itís very minor and covered by a citrus taste. I mostly taste malt in this one. The palate is good for a pilsner. Maybe I am just in a generous mood but this is ok.

jsquire (3738) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - SEP 6, 2006
Pale golden color out of the bottle, crystal clear with evervescent bubbles and a thin fizzy head. Thin, chemically vegetal aroma. Soft mouthfeel. Some lemon citrus and white bread notes. Finish had a little soggy bread quality. Okay on a hot summer day, but it isnít a hot summer day.

hopscotch (10080) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - SEP 5, 2006
Bottle... NTB Ernesto Festo í06... Clear yellow ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Grainy, citrusy aroma with a light lemon note. The flavor is lightly bittered, but boasts sweet peach and mild lemon. Medium-bodied and fizzy. Lengthy, faintly bitter finish.

ROGUE (2145) - Newark, Delaware, USA - AUG 15, 2006
Light yellow color with an almost non-existant white head. Light gainy hop flavor with not much else. Not bad but not good either.

Wiseblood (700) - Clarksville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 10, 2006
Light yellow, fizzy head. Aromas of honey and grains. Unfortunately, thatís about as good as it got. Light and sweet, but nothing else going on here. Not offensive, just hard to distinguish from any other macros.
