Part of Shiner variety pack. Pours pale gold, with a big-bubble head that starts thick and dies at an increasing rate, until you have a flat-topped beer. Aroma again is big on skunk and pennies (similar to the Shiner Bock I rated yesterday). Flavor is mild and drinkable, though. Almost has some soda backbone to it--both in mouthfeel and flavor. Not really offensive, except for the sub-par aroma and appearance, but also not memorable or very enjoyable.

12 oz bottle. Pours clear golden in colour, with decent white head. Faint hoppy aroma, fairly balanced flavour. Light and drinkable.

Very easy drinking beer. I am a fan of Shiner but nothing about this beer stands out. Light body with a slight floral hoppiness. medium sweetness,

A clear, pale yellow pour with a fluffy, white head. The aroma is mostly dry hay with some grassy notes. The taste is crisp and light with lively carbonation. The mildly sweet initial flavor finishes slightly tart.

12 ounce bottle, one of the 6 brews in Shiner’s Family Reunion 6-pack. Served in a pilsener glass, the beer pours a clear pale gold color with a half inch white head. Head retention and lacing are both average. Aroma is sweet malt, grain and corn. The aroma isn’t bad at all. Taste is just like the aroma, but the with sweet malt being the strongest thing that I can taste. There’s also a bit of a grainy finish. Like the aroma, it doesn’t taste bad. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s a bit slick with good carbonation. Drinkability is good, it wouldn’t be hard to drink quite a few of these. It’s not a beer I would make a point to seek out, but if someone gave me a bottle I wouldn’t turn it down, either.

Not bad. Had this in a sampler pack. It actually had a little skunk to it.. Fairly refreshing but it wouldn’t break my heart if I never had it again.

12oz bottle. Pale, filtered yellow tan. Thin, oily white head. Sweet, mellow, clean aroma. Straightforward Lager, with a slightly grainy mouthfeel. Clean and easy, with some faint soapy hop character. Some smooth Lager tones, but overall a little thin and boring.

Pours a straw color with minimal white head. Aroma of corn and cereal grains. Flavor: Sweet corn, sweet malt, grassy hops. Crisp, refreshing, sweet, corny. Not so good.
