2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
A: Pours a light straw color. The head is a typical-looking one finger white shade. It seems to retain itself more strongly than others in the style, which isnít saying much.
S: Unfortunately, itís not far off (at all) from a typical adjunct lager here. Notes of corn and cooked veggies emanate from the aroma. These notes arenít as strong as they are in, say, Bud; if they had a healthy backing of hops behind them I could easily view this as a pre-pro pils and be done with it - alas, itís not the case. Meh.
T: Flavors are as straightforward as they can be - some sweet cream and a touch of corn. No cooked veggies from the aroma are here, thankfully. If this does anything right, itís the fact that the adjunct notes here arenít as off-putting like theyíd be in a typical BMC product. Actually, my main problem here stems back to what I said about the aroma: where are the hops? The malt backbone is perfectly acceptable for the style, but without any balancing hops, itís simply too sweet.
M: Typical of a lager, itís light and easy to drink. But it finishes too sweetly, and as such, isnít as quaffable as it could be.
O: This seriously needs more hoppiness to it. Whatís sad is that this missing feature is all that stands between Shiner Blonde being just another crappy AAL (which it is) and a wholly solid pre-pro pils. A shame, really.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Shinerís premium beer is a decent thirst quencher. Light clear, golden appearance. Neutral flavor of malt, some corn and/or rice, mildly hopped. It is not a light beer by definition but it is a sessionable brew if one is so inclined. As a summer style beer it does the job. I would definitely pick this up over any BMC product if I had the choice.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Canít say much... It is very, very reminiscent of Budweiser. From the smell, appearance, all the way down to the taste. Not bad, not great, but itíll do nicely.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Medium gold with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Well-balanced and refreshing. Nothing offensive, rather good actually.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Pours a clear pale straw yellow body with just a minimal fizzy white head. The nose is pretty light, just a bit of husky grain and sweetness. The flavor is light and rather bland with a short finish. Light bodied and fizzy with a watery texture. Pretty boring stuff. Hard to believe that this is all malt.

bottled - drinkable but definitely nothing special. Very pale golden color. Not much aroma. Malt character. ok.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. bottle, a gift from my sis. This is a crystal clear blonde with good carbonation and a small white head The aroma is crackery with hints at corn on the cob, earthy hops and is free of flaws. The body is pretty light, expectedly so. This is really a decent lager. No weird off flavors, just straightforward malt and conservative hoppiness. Itís slightly sweet, but not too bad. Finish is crisp. I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Itís not too shabby at all. I might even prefer this over Yeungling as far as mass produced lagers go.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This is better than your typical American lager. Not a huge a fan of this though. I would drink this before any other American lager.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Old rating. Came in a mix pack. Light, crisp boring pale lager. Utterly forgettable, but easy to drink.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Solid premium lager. Aroma of toasted malt and yeast. Flavor was similar with a (for this style) complex malt, hint of bread crust and yeast followed by a touch of hops. The finish I wasnít excited about. Poured a straw color with a short lasting head.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma- Nice blend of barley, wheat and some malt. Itís Shiner so I bet there is some corn tossed in also. nice aroma
Appearance- Pours a straw color very reminiscent of BMC brands. Has a nice thick white head that shrinks quickly.
Taste- A simple barley and malt flavor, this is by no means a complaint. The flavor is solid.
Palate- A light to medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Has a creamy texture and with a nice dry finish.
Overall- A well done American Pale Lager, in fact one of the best in the style.
