As Shiner Premium. Not much to the aroma, just a lot of malt. Pours a very light golden color with little head. Taste is what you'd expect from a light lager. Not much complexity, just a simple beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Solid premium lager. Aroma of toasted malt and yeast. Flavor was similar with a (for this style) complex malt, hint of bread crust and yeast followed by a touch of hops. The finish I wasnít excited about. Poured a straw color with a short lasting head.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- Nice blend of barley, wheat and some malt. Itís Shiner so I bet there is some corn tossed in also. nice aroma Appearance- Pours a straw color very reminiscent of BMC brands. Has a nice thick white head that shrinks quickly. Taste- A simple barley and malt flavor, this is by no means a complaint. The flavor is solid. Palate- A light to medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Has a creamy texture and with a nice dry finish. Overall- A well done American Pale Lager, in fact one of the best in the style.

This small brewery is growing by leaps and bounds, it has been around many many years and has been discovered over the last 20 years and has taken off This is their flagship beer and is a great lager, I recommend it for the traditionalist

It pours a clear pale yellow with a quickly dissipating fizzy white head. The aroma is very, very light with a hint of grain malts and a touch of an adjunct. This brew has such a super light taste that it is almost non-existent. There is however a light graininess and a very mild bitterness at the end. I really canít see drinking more of this, might as well drink water... www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerReviews

foyle (290) - Wyoming, USA - FEB 14, 2015
Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass. Appearance: pours a 2" sudsy white head that drops moderately with no lacing. Color is clear pale straw with mild streaming carbonation. Aroma: lightly toasted barley, a bit of yeasty bread dough. Mouthfeel: light and thin, slightly slick, with a somewhat dry finish. Flavor: cracker and biscuit, some barley malt sweetness, a very mild hop presence. Overall: light and easy drinking. Pleasant and should pair well with many foods.

chinchill (2554) - South Carolina, USA - FEB 11, 2015
Poured from a 12 oz brown bottle into a snifter. {from June 2012 notes} A: crystal clear yellow-golden; Small and short-lived, sudsy white head. Looks suspiciously like a light beer. Aroma: light malt and grassy hops ... maybe just plain grassy ... with a slight earthiness. Smells suspiciously like a light beer. T: balanced, but barely present hops and light malt. Tastes suspiciously like a light beer, although the subdued flavor does linger a good while. M: light and watery body; carbonation is medium (very good) with some crispness; slightly dry. Overall: comes across as a Amer. light beer. Nothing like a Belgian blonde. It is hard to believe there is a light version of this beer. Suitable as a dining beverage or thirst quencher. 2.75

Pours a clear light golden color with a small white head that left no lacing around the glass and the head didnít last long either. The aroma is rather weak on this beer. I pick up some malts and breadiness and some water. The taste is sweet, bready, mild hops, somewhat grassy. The beer is very light and the drink-ability is super high with this beer. There is nothing spectacular about this beer that will blow you away but there is nothing off-putting about it either.

Shiner Premium. It pours a golden color, it has pretty nice head with some lacing. I sniff it, coffee? I think so. It has a pretty sweet bitterness to the taste. Itís not real heavy, but certainly not light. Medium, although I hate that word. Wait, itís more bitter now. Hmmm. Itís not really a delightful palate pleaser. It has a bitterness to it, but the carbonation lingers so it tastes more bitter than it really is. I can feel the bitterness in my throat after I swallow. Overall, itís not a great beer. It is okay at best. My rating is a little generous.
