BelgianBeerGal (883), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Jul 18, 2008 Bottled. Pours clear, pale yellow with a small white head. No real lacing. Not much going on in the flavour or aroma. Just a little malt and less hop. Very thing mouthfeel. Refreshing but not much going on. Below average pils.
bhensonb (2832), Woodland, California, USA Aug 16, 2008 Bottle from the Coop in Davis, CA. Label is a bit toned down these days. PIcture is of a couple of guys. Brassy gold color with a decent white head. Aroma is grain, and the hop I hoped for, I didn’t get. Near medium body with fizzy/creamy carbonation. Flavor is a mix of pale malt and grain with a wet paper taste substituting for hop. There is hop, because there is a light burn in the finish. Unless that’s the 4.4%! Blah, ’sa rite, but why? MY ANTLERS ARE BAKED. wxman (442), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA Aug 16, 2008 Pours a pale yellow with almost no head. Grainy aroma. Thin and watery with little taste. Miller High Life has more character. DrunkenViolin (1), , Texas, USA does not count Aug 5, 2008 I’ve had this beer numerous times, and it never disappoints me, though it’s not the best I’ve had. vikingbeercbus (16), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jul 30, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours clear bright gold. Frothy head, no lacing. Tones of honey. Not much going on with flavor, boring beer. mrant (237), New York, USA Jul 29, 2008 Smells almost of nothing, faintly of wheat. Tastes similar to their bock, but without the nice flavor. Not terrible.
