After drinking this, I really donít feel like writing a nice long rating, because it was hardly worth the effort of drinking it. It fit the bill of being refreshing, but felt like I was drinking some shoddy macro attempt at a blonde.

Shiner Premium. It pours a golden color, it has pretty nice head with some lacing. I sniff it, coffee? I think so. It has a pretty sweet bitterness to the taste. Itís not real heavy, but certainly not light. Medium, although I hate that word. Wait, itís more bitter now. Hmmm. Itís not really a delightful palate pleaser. It has a bitterness to it, but the carbonation lingers so it tastes more bitter than it really is. I can feel the bitterness in my throat after I swallow. Overall, itís not a great beer. It is okay at best. My rating is a little generous.

Pours clear pale golden with a rapidly diminishing medium white head, fine lacing. Aromas of caramel, biscuit, hay. Light body, lively. Mildly sweet, gentle earthy bitter finish. Unremarkable and easy drinking.

Smells like a light malt, clear and light, good crisp beer with a hint of lingering sweetness, no hops, quite good...especially if cheap!! Smooth, could drink several...3rd year anniversary on this site!!

There is little aroma or flavor profile here, a mildly grassy/ wet grain nose and a light sweetness in the mouth. No hop bite, adequate carbonation, nothing remarkable. If it were put with Lone Star in a blind test I doubt most drinkers could distinguish a difference.

Bottle. Pours a clear light straw color with a faint head. Aroma is grainy and metallic. Flavor is light, grassy, grain and cardboard. Finishes dry and bitter. No. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I consider this to be a lighter version of Shiner Light. The color is a pale yellow, and the taste is slightly watered down.2.9
RE-RATE 6/19/10 Straight from the bottle yo! Aroma is bready and light Pilsen. Taste is big bread and bitter. I donít think Iíll change my original rating.
RE-RE-RATE 3/4/11 Sounds like my last re-rate was a drunken one so this time itís for real. This beer pours a very clear light golden color that touches on yellow. It also has a fairly decent head response that billowed up and tumbled over the lip of the glass upon first pouring it. It has a nice foamy white head that begins to dissipate not too long after the pour.

The aroma is fairly straight-forward. Some peanutty-grains with a light light hoppy bite. Altogether not too much going on but itís also not offensive either.

The flavor is dry bready malts with some wheat grains. Also some corny notes as well that remind me of a pale lager. You know Iím trying so hard to find good things to say about this, but I guess the best thing I can say is that I also canít find many bad things to say either. Itís just kindaÖÖÖthere.

A very pretty looking beer when poured. It hits the spot on a hot Texas day, but otherwise itís nothing remarkable.

Bottle. Pours yellow with a thin white head that dissipates. Medium carbonation and balanced malt aroma. It's fine but nothing special. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a golden yellow with a white head. No nose. Palate is not as sweet as Bud with more body. A better example of the American lager than the bigg guys.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. The pour is a carbonated pale yellow under a big, foamy white head. The aroma smells like an adjunct with grains, barley malt, clean hops, and maybe a little corn. The body is light. The taste tends to become more sweet and malted but the intent seems to be to emulate American Adjuncts.
