Clear hazel brown honey color; very good carbonation. Decent head that doesnít last all that long.
The aroma is more lager than bock, though there is a touch of sweet caramel. The sugars are what separates this from a typical lager. When you agitate it, the toffee almost overwhelms the nose.
The flavor is lagery (you know what Iím talking about) but also has a sugary sweetness. The sweetness is balanced by a hint of dusty nuttiness that I didnít expect.
The feel is almost unbelievably smooth and soft. Iíve never quite had a beer like it, the carbonation is so light that it feels like a non-beer. I can see why this must be popular in the Southwest: itís light enough for the heat, but had just enough flavor to give folks more than just fizzy yellow water.

This is a sweet, medium bodied beer that gives you some taste while remaining drinkable. While this isnít the darkest Bock I have had, it is nice to have an option for a session able one. The dark malts make for a tasty brew.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
From bottle. Pours a very dark amber with no head and very little activity. Nose is underwhelming--a little roasted malt. Thin, almost watery up front then ends with a little kick. Light body, easy to drink and unremarkable overall. A decent stand-in if you end up in a place where nothing else is available.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
I drank quite a few of these back in the early 90ís when I was in Houston so nostalgia played a part in me making an effort to secure a sixer of this brew all these years later.
Pours a deep copper color with a huge fluffy off white head that persists forever. Aromas of light sweet pilsner malt, caramel and a hint of sulfur. Light earthy hop aroma. The flavor is more dark macro than bock honestly. Light sweet maltiness with a heavy overtone of caramel and faint earthy hop bitterness. Little to no hop flavor. Medium to light body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet slick mouthfeel. Easy enough to drink and really nothing flawed here. Itís a bit sweet and could use some melanoids. Well at least this helped to get me thinking beyond cookie cutter macros all those years ago.

Tap. Amber. Small head that doesnít last. Not much aroma. Malty and fairly smooth. Little bitterness but also little flavor. Pretty flat throughout. Doesnít shine.

I had this at BWW. Pours a dark amber with a off white head. Taste sweet, malty. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.

12oz bottle, amber pour with very little head. Little taste with a thin body. Easy drinker, but boring.

Bottled Gift from Action Jackson. A little thin for taste, but it had a nice rich flavor, caramel malts that made it easy to drink.
