thehurt01 (201), Denver, Colorado, USA Apr 26, 2009 A 12 oz bottle. The body is a dark amber with a thin white head. A smell of sweet malt and not much else. The taste is a slighty sweet but not over powering malt. Good carbonation. This is a light beer in a bock bottle. Very easy to drink. 11111 cdugo (31), , Texas, USA Apr 25, 2009 Medium bodies and malty. Does not have the depth to be a bock, Easy to drink a lot lighter and less flavor than anticipated. Snot19kilo (81), Oakwood, Illinois, USA Apr 24, 2009 Bottle. Drank straight from bottle. I may have gotten a bad bottle of beer. If so this is a poor beer. (NOT A BOCK) this smells and taste nothing like a bock. I will never buy or drink this beer again. Smells like cow shit! Taste like cow shit would probably taste like. Junk beer! snakeoilpete (324), Seattle, Washington, USA Apr 8, 2009 Bottle to celebrate the return of Rangers baseball (on TV for me). Pours dark amber with a decent but fading off-white head. Smells mostly of toasty cereal with a little caramel and a ghostly wisp of hops. Tastes like honky tonks, BBQ joints, and Rangers baseball. Metallic bitter finish. aaronhaywood (74), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Apr 8, 2009 Was expecting a bock, but got more of a dark lager taste. Not bad, just not what I was expecting. HopheadHans (753), Bay Area, California, USA Apr 5, 2009 Bottle and tap. tap version was better since it was much colder. This beer needs to be drank cold just as all the American macros. Pours with a darker color than expected. Not much of a nose, some malt flavors and a bit of hops, some hints of toffee in the finish. Clearly better than most other American macros cblado (146), Wisconsin, USA Apr 2, 2009 12 oz bottle. Little aroma, some malt. Flavor was mostly malt, not a rich yeasty bock flavor as I expected. Come to think of it, it tasted more like the dark lager it’s categorized as. Oh well. Not that great. TURDFERGUSON (1594), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA Mar 29, 2009 Had a few of these over the last couple days. Although not great, this is a pretty drinkable dark lager. Bready and slightly sweet.
