Is a distinctive, rich, full-flavored, deep amber-colored beer with an inviting smooth taste without excessive bitterness.

Big Ass Bottle. Nice deep brown color with a large head of largish bubbles that fade quickly to nothing, leaving a bit of lace behind. Nose: I smell an infected beer--phenolics all over the place--bandaid brand adhesive strips comes to mind. The taste is the same. This is a moderately fresh bottle--I picked it up in Houston in early November 2003. Got it at a high volume, reputable liquor store, so I don't think it's been on the shelf for two-three years. Wow. This beer is the worst beer I've tasted since my encounter with Samuel Smith's Imperial Stout.

Nice red color with an average sized tan head. Can't describe the scent, but its unpleasant. Metallic tasting, with caramel flavoring. Can't say I'll be picking this one up again.

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2004 Bottle pours a reddish/copper color with a nice off-white head. Aroma is fairly transparent... perhaps a faint smell of oats. A bit of malty sweetness but thats about it. Its very watery, which probably explains why its so thin. Dissapointing... Did I mention watery?

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2007 This is a darker amber color, with a nice white head. The nose is grassy, weak, and not very inspiring, and the first taste is the slightest bit bitter, but then there is a slightly sweet brown sugar taste that catches on as you drink it down. It isnít a full bodied beer, but itís not watery either. It is not complex, and only slightly dry. It is not a terrible brew at about $5/6.

Wow...spectacularly boring. Very sweet smelling and sweet tasting. Gets very watery towards the end.

Pours a dark amber, with a large off white head that left a small amount of lace. Aroma of malt and honey or fruit. Light mouthfeel. Sweet roasted malt taste, with a dry finish. A weak Bock, as the style goes, but refreshing.

Poured a dark amber color with a surprisingly lasting head. Aroma is of barely discernable malts. Taste is the same... a thin trace of malts with a very mild finish. Easily foregettable. Easy to drink I guess, but honestly it's kinda low on the spectrum.

Draft at the Alehouse in Ft. Myers, FL. This beer had a large sized white head that was creamy and smooth and contained fine sized bubbles that quickly dissipated. The body was transparent and softly carbonated with a yellow hue. The nose was lightly malty, sweet and some fruity notes. The flavor was sweet and malty with a smooth, dry and thin mouthfeel. This was a light bodied beer with sparse lacing.

This is an enjoyable beer that the ADP boys always have cold and ready for us when we visit Dallas/Fort Worth. Good deep color and aroma and a little sweet (just a tiny bit) on the finish. This is a beer that you can enjoy 5 or 6 of, and then its flavor dies. Not a bad bock beer and it has become a bit of a tradition.

TheDM and Hotstuff vacation brew 129. This draft brew was sampled at the Ale House resturant in Fort Myers Florida. This brew poured a large head of foamy small sized white colored bubbles that left behind a poor lace and a transparent light yellow orange colored body. It had a very mild malt aroma and a tingly bubbly smooth mouthfeel with a mold hop bit in the finish. The flavor contained notes of mild malts hops and a bit of orange in the finsh with an overall very mild bock flavor.
