1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20 BeeriedEyed (156) - USA - FEB 1, 2011
I bought this beer thinking it was a bock beer and was severely let down. It tasted nothing like a bock beer and tasted like a lager that was dyed to make a mock bock.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 tennessejed420 (838) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 30, 2011
bottle. Pours deep amber with minimal gray head, soon just patches of head. Weak aroma, slightly of caramel, hay, bubblegum. Flavor is malty but with a hoppy crispness, but an overall malty caramel like finish, still with a slight bubblegum presence.
2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 wlajwl (1473) - Iowa, USA - JAN 28, 2011
UPDATED: MAY 25, 2011 Oddly enough, rather thirst quenching. Sort of a beer that should be considered as bad as a micro but not that, bad.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 SODAK14 (203) - Rapid City, South Dakota, USA - JAN 16, 2011
Above average bock. Nice color and head. Smooth drinking and good finish. Only issue is it really doesn’t have any outstanding attributes. Others may find it better just not a beer I would seek out.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 oldcatcher (2) - Mattoon, Illinois, USA - JAN 15, 2011 does not count
Copper color, kind of bready, with a hint of malt. Average head, very little lacing, but overall I really like the flavor of this beer. Nothing that wows me, but when I see it on tap I usually have at least one.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 hollybeery (66) - Texas, USA - JAN 13, 2011
Bottle. It was very hard for me to objectively rate this beer, it’s such a staple around here. But...weak body, weak head, very light maltiness and virtually no hoppiness.
2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 DavoleBomb (965) - Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 11, 2011
Poured into a freshly handwashed flute.
2.0 A: No fuckin head, no matter how hard I tried. Medium brown color, but looks watery.
3.5 S: Fresh, mountain stream like aroma. Not bad, but not much here. There’s no sign of hops and the malt character isn’t complex.
2.5 T: It has the essense of beer, but it is really just beer flavored water. A hint, and only a hint, of roasted malts and caramel. Nothing really there in terms of hops.
2.5 M: Light to medium body. There’s more carbonation that the head would suggest, in fact, it’s a bit bubbly. Not much goodness here either.
2.5 D: If this cost as much as a cheap macro, I’d buy it to get drunk off of. This definitely isn’t a dinner beer or a relaxation beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Finhead (653) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - JAN 9, 2011
A clear, deep copper pour with a lightly tan head. The aroma is light with faint notes of bread. The medium body has a sticky texture and lively carbonation. The taste has a roasted, mild sweetness to start and mild bitterness at the finish.
