But its still one of the best options at places with 100 brews on tap.
In each bottle the great taste is accompanied by 99 years of Texas history and tradition.
I’ve been to the tiny brewery in the middle of nowhere. And its a place as TEXAN as Luckenbach, Stubb’s BBQ, or the Ft Worth stockyards.
For those of you who tasted it and just "didn’t get it." Come to Austin; drink one as you float down the guadalupe! General66 (167), Streator, Illinois, USA

Therefore I had moderateely high expectations for this one. I am sad to say that this did not live up to its hype. It poured a copper color with a half finger width white head that disappeared very quickly. There was not much to the aroma... very subtle malts with a metallic undertone. The taste is also pretty bland... the only thing I could pick out is subtle caramel malts. VERY light mouthfeel. For what it is, this is a decent brew. Absolutely nothing exciting about it though. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 15, 2008 A decent yet uncharismatic beer. Could be a littler higher in alcohol, in my opinion. Drinkable, yet there are so many better beers in this style. tylerss20 (101), New Hampshire, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 14, 2008 This is a very doable beer in a lot of aspects. No one trait makes it great. But in Oklahoma/Texas, this is often the only legit option to American macros in bars(lone star? come on). But my friends obsessed with this brew need to branch out. It is only a better than average, and the mouthfeel was harsh to me. Perhaps it is better on draft. phishpond417 (1914), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Pours a little thick, deep copper body with a very creamy mouthfeel. A sweet finish, not overly malty, but a pretty nice tasting bock. inch4foam (4), Burnsville, Minnesota, USA does not count | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 12, 2008 Updated: May 17, 2008I really like this beer, a solid choice for a dark lager.I expected it would be alittle higher abv.

It also smells like a bock beer should. Not as bitter as most bock beers and wonderful with steaks.
