May 8, 2008 Pours like rootbeer... like exactly like rootbeer... large nasty looking carb. bubbles and a thin sudsy beige head. Smells like dust, mold, with distant notes of burnt caramel malt. Seriously? This is about as bad as the blonde... maybe worse... where is the flavor??? Sweet sugary flavor with a small hint of caramel. There is no beer in my beer!?!?!? It’s not bad tasting.. it just really doesn’t taste like anything...

May 8, 2008 Had sveral times when in texas. Pours dark amber with white head. Flavor is malt and caramel. FLavor is much the same. smooth thin mouth feel with little complexity. Pleople love this stuff in Texas. Sort of a micro for the masses.

May 8, 2008 Pours a copper amber color with a two finger head. Mild malty aroma with subtle hints of caramel and freshly baked bread. Medium bodied with a sweet malty flavor and a gentle hop finish. Very drinkable and an ideal session beer. Try with traditional Texas barbeque or smoked sausage.

May 7, 2008 Draft. I’ve had this many times, but figure it’s time to actually rate it. Pours an amber/brown color with a small head that stays around. Smells mildly of malts and straw. It has a lot more body than the typical macros it tends to compete with...a bit of caramel maltiness, some understated hops. The real reason for its popularity is the clean, easy-drinking finish. This one sure won’t blow anyone away, but as a substitute for BMC Lite at a bar or concert, it’s a good step forward.

May 6, 2008 from a bottle, poured an amber color. Tastes a lot like Yuengling Lager. Nice smooth taste will minimal aftertaste. The only problem that I had is that after downing four with my dinner I felt like I was going to burst at the seams.

May 5, 2008 12 ounce bottle- poured out a caramel-amber with very little in the way of a head. Aroma was bitter, even harsh, fortunately the bitterness didn’t carry through to the taste. It was crisp, clean and malty without any bitter flavors. This is one of those beers more easily defined as what it is NOT than by what it is. Not much taste and no more mouth feel than water. Only average.
