Shiner Bock

This is one of the worst "Bock"s I have ever had. The flavor is weak and disappointing.

Those who are trashing Shiner have absolutely no frame of reference. I was grew up on this beer. Shiner is for tailgates and BBQs, one is to drink it by the six pack accompanied by burgers and brats. I do not pretend that it has the body or kick of some of the finer bocks and doppels, however it is great for in the parking lot or on the back porch. Also I’m not sure what a "collage" bar is.

Pretty light body for a bock. dark and malty. too light and watery for anything serious.

Mild and a little tart. Easy drinking for a bock? Then I realized I was at a collage bar. If it isn’t watery, kids wont drink it.

Draft. A weak tasting bock, tastes like a slightly sugared up & colored lager. Som light maltiness I guess. If you want to drink 10 bocks in one sitting I guess this is a good pick because its comparateively low alchohol will take longer to floor you than a real bock.

12oz bottle.. nice brown color with a slightly hoppy aroma but nothing too intense. the taste lacks the DARK LAGER flavor I was looking for but still is adequate. but just that adequate.. a roasted malty flavor takes a back seat to a watery orchestra..

RATING 100!!! 12 oz bottle- Poured transparent brown, off white head that disappeared. Slight aroma of roasted malt and a little caramel. Hits the mouth easy with a thin body, finish complete. The plan for world domination is simple- took a case with me to Michigan a year ago, gave hardcore common swillers 2 beers each. All twelve people are still begging for more 18 months after the fact... great drinking beer.

It’s a great dark beer, i really wish i could find it in michigan, the last time i had it my wife brought it home to me from texas, i think i will run down to ohio and see if i can find it ther.
