Great beer, I would recommend this baby to anyone. Great taste, great smell, and a great finish. God bless Texas! Keep ’em comin’ Shiner!

This is one of my go to brews. Darker than a pale ale, and more flavor really. Something of a nutty aroma with a darker finish. Not so smooth, but does the job.

Dark lager, are you kidding me? Metallic aroma with weak hint of hay and malt. Watered down flavor with more metal and a horrible attempt to place cinnamon and caramel dark malt tones behind the beer’s flavor. Cant expect much though, its pretty much cosmopolitan. Plus, they try to make you feel all fuzzy inside by giving the story about the "little brewery in Spoetzl" when, in fact, this is nowhere near a craft brew.

This beer is not a bock. Its an American lite lager with a darkening agent added that adds color but minimal flavor. Like all beers made is Texas, it sucks. Drinkable, but sucks.

Middle of the road beer for me - it’s the "normal" beer I serve to guests at parties since I’ll still drink the left-overs. Decent flavor if a little thin, lighter brown color, and only slightly bitter.

Weak aroma that smells like tinny beans. Looks like watered down soda, but with a thick off white head. Extremely watery, faint taste of beans. Tinny finish. Their black lager is decent, but this is dreadfully bad. I wouldn’t even shandy this it’s so watery.

A personal favorite, although I am biased. Slightly watery would be my only complaint.

Bottle. Toasted and nutty was the only outstanding aromas, hops smelled of grass, and soap for the yeast. Head is frothy/fizzy, white, which is mostly lasting then fully diminishing after five minutes with no lacing. Color is clear light brown. Flavor starts lightly sweet and acidic then finishes lightly acidic and very slightly bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery and just a touch creamy, with soft carbonation. A middle of the road beer with nothing great but nothing offensive.
