COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Is a distinctive, rich, full-flavored, deep amber-colored beer with an inviting smooth taste without excessive bitterness.

Bottle to celebrate the return of Rangers baseball (on TV for me). Pours dark amber with a decent but fading off-white head. Smells mostly of toasty cereal with a little caramel and a ghostly wisp of hops. Tastes like honky tonks, BBQ joints, and Rangers baseball. Metallic bitter finish.

Was expecting a bock, but got more of a dark lager taste. Not bad, just not what I was expecting.

Bottle and tap. tap version was better since it was much colder. This beer needs to be drank cold just as all the American macros. Pours with a darker color than expected. Not much of a nose, some malt flavors and a bit of hops, some hints of toffee in the finish. Clearly better than most other American macros

12 oz bottle. Little aroma, some malt. Flavor was mostly malt, not a rich yeasty bock flavor as I expected. Come to think of it, it tasted more like the dark lager it’s categorized as. Oh well. Not that great.

Had a few of these over the last couple days. Although not great, this is a pretty drinkable dark lager. Bready and slightly sweet.

12oz brown bottle. Dark orange colour, small fast fading white head. Aroma is sweet and bready. Flavour is grainy, moderate sweetness. Finish is quick and dry, not much aftertaste. Moderate carbonation and light body. Unexciting beer, and not even close to having enough depth to be Bock. Been waiting a while to try this one, guess I could have waited longer....

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass. Deep copper color with a large but rapidly diminishing off-white head. Aroma is adjuncts, bready malts, and metal. Flavor is bready and semisweet. No hops, no complexity. Very simplistic , but tasty enough. Medium-thin body with nice carbonation. Tastes more like a Munich lager than a bock. Definitely not robust enough to claim the bock style. Very easy to drink.

12 oz. bottle at Ruby’s Bar-B-Q in San Antonio, TX. They keep ’em on ice at the beginning of the Bar-B-Q line. Tasted great with brisket, ribs, chicken, and creamed corn. Dark brownish-amber with a lightly creamed white head. Smell of doughy yeast, and light roasted malt. Taste of roasted malt and caramel. Overall texture is light to medium, malty taste lingers but the finish is also a bit watery.
