JohnnyJ (1282), Carlsbad, California, USA Apr 28, 2007 Pours a reddish brown with a fizzy off-white head. Aroma is malty and not very interesting. Flavor is bland and watered down. Malt, and a hint of caramel and hops. GreatLibations (1440), Last Supper, Arizona, USA Apr 23, 2007 Pours copper w/ a shallow spritzy froth. Minimal hang time w/ faint residual lacing. Aromas of sweet malt and beer. Light to medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. Very brisk w/ crisp malts. A mild sweetness is detected and is very light on the palate. Theres a slight tartness and very mildly roasted. The finish is crisp w/ an acidic bittering component. Not very flavorfull. flops98 (9), becker, Minnesota, USA does not count Apr 19, 2007 I like this beer but I was not blown away with taste...A nice appearance led me to get my hopes up but I was let down by the tase. very bla....it is better than bud, mich, or any other watered down brews... Derek881 (486), Frederick, Maryland, USA Apr 16, 2007 Shiner is making a stretch calling this a bock. It is an ok beer, but seems more geared towards mass production than quality. I had it in the bottle in a bar/restaurant in Houston. It was a clear, amber color with low carbonation and a bitter-souer taste. Smooth on the palate, not much activity. The aroma was faint and mostly grainy hops, maybe some cereal and light on malt. AR (417), Georgia, USA Apr 14, 2007 This beer calls itself a bock, but the taste is typical of a better-than-average American lager. Initially the carbination is prevalent, then settles into a cola-tasting beverage. Dixon (31), Iowa, USA Apr 7, 2007 This beer was deceptive. When I saw the nice dark amber color I thought I was on to something good. Was I ever surprised! Bland and tasteless are the only 2 words I can think of to describe this beer. pitboss743 (14), USA Apr 4, 2007 the worst beer i have ever had. Had it in Texas on tap. my brother recoommended it. God awefull beer. Dont ever try marchcow (664), Coralville, Iowa, USA Mar 30, 2007 The Budweiser of bock beers in my opinion. Light weak malty flavor. Minimal aroma. Not very interesting.
