It is an ok beer, but seems more geared towards mass production than quality. I had it in the bottle in a bar/restaurant in Houston. It was a clear, amber color with low carbonation and a bitter-souer taste. Smooth on the palate, not much activity. The aroma was faint and mostly grainy hops, maybe some cereal and light on malt. | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Apr 14, 2007 This beer calls itself a bock, but the taste is typical of a better-than-average American lager. Initially the carbination is prevalent, then settles into a cola-tasting beverage. Dixon (31), Iowa, USA

When I saw the nice dark amber color I thought I was on to something good. Was I ever surprised! Bland and tasteless are the only 2 words I can think of to describe this beer. pitboss743 (14), USA

Grainy, aroma with some hops. malty, caramel taste, some breadiness but leaves an unpleasant bitterness. A bit thin and macro tasting but not terrible. RJBennett (52), Hibbing, Minnesota, USA

Small white head with tiny bubbles and almost no lacing. Smells a bit malty and musty. Flavor is sweet, mildly grainy, with a slight hop and spice aftertaste. I prefer some of their other styles (Hefeweizen, Kolsch, Dunkelweizen) over this, but it’s still tasty.
