bradmccarroll (57), San Antonio, Texas, USA Mar 13, 2007 This is a great failsafe beer. Don’t feel like anything exotic or expensive? I always go for a shiner bock if thats the case. Very drinkable beer. HopBackDoc (393), Hatboro, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 12, 2007 Had this on draft and in bottle on a recent trip to Ft. Worth. I was pleasantly surprised by this beer. Mahogany appearance with small head. Aroma was mostly malts and grains. Flavor was big malt and caramel up front, with a dry and slightly bitter hop finish. Very thirst quenching. Draft was just slightly better than bottle. churchill00 (154), Austin, Texas, USA Mar 6, 2007 When I was a teenager, this is the first beer I drank. While I’d recommend it to someone wanting to sample their first brew--my palate has gotten more demanding. The aroma is still my favorite part; sweet and yeasty. rmussman (905), California, USA Mar 5, 2007 Not very impressed with Shiner bock. Very dry and flavorless. The appearance and the aroma are nice but the beer quality is pour. Do not recommend unless in Texas. nearbeer (1833), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Mar 2, 2007 Updated: May 3, 2007Draft, DFW airport. Amber colored, clear with 2 finger light tan head. Aroma slight hops and malt. Palate a bit thinner than expected. Taste seems like it hasn’t come together, slight hops then mostly malt. Pretty average to below, maybe slightly better than other industrial brews available at the airport. hayduke (1621), Eureka, California, USA Feb 26, 2007 Updated: Feb 27, 2007From Safeway in Eureka, CA on sale at $6.29 a six-pack. This poured an amber to brown color with light tan head and almost no lacing. Nose was sweet malts. Mouthfeel average. Flavor very bland and finsh non-descript. While this may be the best thing to come out of Texas it is not very impressive. DanLarkin (1), San Francisco, California, USA does not count Feb 25, 2007 I was glad to find that Safeway in the San Francisco Bay Area are carrying Shiner Bock. Very reasonbly priced and a better value than most. I’ve never had one that didn’t taste fresh. Ridedom33 (37), Valdosta, Georgia, USA Feb 19, 2007 Shiner makes a great beer. I recommend to anyone who thinks all texas made brews suck. This is the exception
