cole45 (21), USA Jan 12, 2007 floral, grass, red, clear, aminimal head, white foam, light body, thin feel, average carbonation, zachh (19), USA Jan 12, 2007 I had heard a lot about Shiner Bock, and I just got around to trying it. If someone took the label off and put on a Blue Moon Wheat label, I wouldn’t have been able to tell the difference. This beer definitely has that famous grassy, wheat taste to it. It would be excellent on a hot summer day, but it doesn’t have much uses outside of that. I’ll still stick to 312 if I want a moderately good wheat beer in large quantity. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Jan 11, 2007 Amber color; big head. Light aroma, stronger taste, anyway with anything else than caramel; a bit metallic and some residual sweetness. Too simple. chrisok (77), Norman, Oklahoma, USA Jan 9, 2007 Pours brown with an average head. This beer has always tasted "bready" to me. It’s okay, but not as good as some would lead you to believe. roder60 (1019), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 9, 2007 Definitely not a bock. Pours a clear bubbly brown color with a medium amount of foamy offwhite head. Aroma is slighlty corny and hop and sweet sweet sugar. Flavor is light, sweet and watery. Bit of brown sugar taste to it. Overall, not a bock. Beffrey2 (27), Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, USA Jan 7, 2007 (bottle) This beer has no taste at all. Taste like carbonated water. One of the most bland beers I have ever tasted. I can think of some american light beers that have more taste. beerheart (237), Erie, Colorado, USA Jan 7, 2007 I lived in Texas for 15 years. This is a national beverage there. Grassy hop smell. Clear yellow-amber color. Crisp, clean swallow. This is a good (but by no means great) beer for a hot Texas summer day. firecop1 (2), Hawk Run, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Jan 6, 2007 Shiner Bock is now available on tap all Applebees in NW Pa. Bock& Blonde also available in N/R bottles in W.Pa.
