teebradford (46), Senatobia, Mississippi, USA Dec 15, 2006 Bottle. I really wanted to like this beer, but its really bad. Way too much corn. Another Budweiser if you ask me. Atleast its consistent-Its equally bad from the tap. eyesandsmiles (179), Mission Viejo, California, USA Dec 14, 2006 Fairly dull. Its like the exact taste thats stereotypically associated with beer. Nothing special graham515 (420), Houston, Texas, USA Dec 4, 2006 Not an amazing beer, but perhaps one of my favorite "drinking" beers. Has a bit of home town style and is a bit lighter than most bocks undsioux7 (553), Cologne, Minnesota, USA Dec 2, 2006 Just had a taste from grimreeser, and that is all I needed. I will never try this again. It was auwful. cheapdark (2011), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 29, 2006 Updated: Jul 11, 2008Compared to Penn St Nick and Nova Paka (Brewchek.) bock. 12 oz twist off cap., From Shiner TX, nice story on label. Pours darker than a lager but lighter than a real dark beer. Smells like any other bock - yeasty. Very good flaver with smooth personality of a dark lager. No hint of bitterness as with many bocks. Decent carbonation. Finish is a bit weak - but not offensive, possibly a hint of dishwater. This is more acceptable than many bock including St Nick and Brew Check. hepburn82 (141), Scotland Nov 26, 2006 Decent beer but i’d hardly call it a bock. Treacle and fruit are the dominant flavors. Nice balance but perhaps slightly chemical/synthetic. DJC (238), USA Nov 26, 2006 Updated: Nov 28, 2006Rich, amber color, with a fully-diminishing head. No lacing to speak of. Soft, malt/bread aroma, and a rather dull flavor to begin with. The aftertaste is what puts this beer just above average for me. Good carbonation, and easy to drink. ELDERPURPLE (11), USA Nov 20, 2006 this is a rich and malty beer. has a strong aftertaste. I do like it, but not one of my top five. It is a good change of pace.
