RedEft (131), Wichita, Kansas, USA Nov 18, 2006 12 oz bottle in a chilled mug: Pours a rich, strong tea color with a moderate, off-white head. Faint aroma of bread dough. Taste is fairly malty with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Slightly watery, but a pretty good dark lager (if that’s something you’re into) especially considering the size of production. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Nov 14, 2006 This beer is a texan classic!!! It has a solid woody taste that leaves a some what bitter, but pleasant, after taste, It looks great and smells good too, Try it for yourself, its not bad at all! the best on draft! troyc (1173), Lubbock, Texas, USA Nov 12, 2006 (Bottle) Pours amber with white head. Some maltiness, but lacks any rich flavoring. Nothing offensive. Seems too watered down for my tastes. A lot of people really like this beer, but I have had better examples of the style. A pretty mediocre beer overall. hopslovin (180), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Nov 10, 2006 12 oz. bottle. Carmel coloring with cream head that disapears rapidly. Musty malt aroma. Light on the palate with malt overtones in the finish. $5.99 for a 6-pack, way better taste than Miller Lite for the same price. Harsebrau (164), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Nov 9, 2006 Not a bad beer...just not a great beer. Wannabe rich flavor with slight bitterness at the end. pojo41 (315), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Nov 5, 2006 Bottle. I like dark lagers and this one is pretty good. Nice aroma and that malty taste that I love. Pours with a nice creamy head. andyhite (290), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA Nov 5, 2006 minimal head, rich amber pour. slightly roasted caramel malty aroma, also just a touch of spice. tangy mouthfeel, light to moderate hops. taste doesn’t really linger, it just disappears in my mouth. it gives room for other beers to stand out. bdjames29 (272), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Oct 30, 2006 Draft. The best draft available at the Bengal’s game. A couple of shiners helped me get through a disappointing Bengal’s effort against the Falcons. The beer wasn’t great but in comparision to my other options, it was a 4.0.
