Poured into a pint glass. A transparent copper color with half finger of head that was bubbly and short-lived. Smells faintly like wet hay. It has an unpleasant smell too, hard to place but not nice. Mild malt sweetness at first, a faint touch of bitter (not really bitter, but less sweet). Watery taste overall. Medium body, moderate carbonation, unremarkable. This was difficult because I used to drink Shiner all the time years ago when I lived in Corpus Christi because it was the only beer with some flavor to it. It’s a caramel colored American lager with a little less carbonation and a touch of sweetness.

I didn't take any extra notes when I tried this beer for the first time but I'm gonna try it again and update my comments. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Aroma is hay, butterscotch, light caramel, light malts, hints of wet grain, hints of toffee. Dark amber brown, clear, small beige head. Medium to high sweetness, no bitterness, taste is malt, caramel, with hints of toffee. Medium body, average carbonation. Very boring beer, not well brewed.

A very smooth, easy drinking dark beer. Nice amber color, not much of a head on the pour. My mom picked this up as part of a variety pack when visiting my uncle in the Big D.

12oz Flasche. Beaunes Farbe, wenig Schaum. Sehr süsses Malzaroma. Geschmack auch recht süss. Bockbier ist es aber eigentlich nicht.

From 12oz bottle to lager glass. Pour is an amber color, thick tan head that’s lively. Nose is malty, buiscuity. Taste is light bodied, sweet. Ok beer. Simple and drinkable.

Clear dark-brownish color with a minuscule head. The malts are fairly distinct in the smell, as is the brown sugar. Flavor is really subtle, with some malt sneaking up in the background. Otherwise, the taste was fairly shallow. As far as the feel goes this is a very light beer. Forgettable, not worth a purchase.

Taste from a friend (tap) @ Reata Grill, Fort Worth airport. Pours clear chestnut with a low head. Aroma is nutty malts. Flavor is pretty much the same. Not bad, just boring.
