Bottle. Deep copper color. Very clean aroma. Meh. Not that good - a darker lager, definitely NOT a bock. Not the style listed here says amber lager or vienna rather than bock. Pretty weak. A bit overcarbonated and definitely overpriced.

12 oz bottle poured. Pours a penny copper color with a wet, mild malts aroma. Flavor is clean, smooth, light. Flavor isnít the best, but itís not bad. No bitterness to it. More sweet than anything. Itís alright.

On tap at Texas Rosdhouse. Pours amber with no head. Mild malt with no hop bitterness in the aroma and taste. Decent enough for what it is.

Sampled from a bottle. Darkish amber colour, with a quickly-fading white head. Not much aroma. The taste is sweet, dominated by corn syrup flavours. No hop flavour at all, and hence no bitterness. Extremely boring and bland. Very watery taste, and I had to check the bottle to see if there was any alcohol content at all. Not recommended for proper beer drinkers.

{From July 2012 notes} Pours a nice, crystal clear red-amber with a average size tan head that has only limited durability. Spotty lacing on glass. In both the taste and smell, thereís an attractive caramel malt with a bit of brown bread and corn and a touch of spicy hops but not much else. Hops are faint in the aroma and not much more apparent in tasting. Aroma of corn is too pronounced. Lightly sweet. M: Near medium body is a bit too thin; has a nice bit of dryness and a very clean finish. Good level of moderate carbonation imparts some crispness. O: While Iíve had a number of these over the years, I hadnít had one in at least 5 years and my expectations were not high. So, i was pleasantly surprised to find an above average beer thatís highly drinkable.

2/7 - (Home) Bottle. I liked the taste and feel of this beer. Liked the hops and this beer had some kick, and was pleasant.

Pours a clear dark brownish color with hardly any head. Aroma is of very light malts with some molasses, brown sugar and dirt. Very light on the palate. Flavor is the same. Very weak and on the sweeter side. Leaves a prune like finish. Blah.

PapaSkeetSkeet (958) - Providence, Rhode Island, USA - JAN 26, 2015
lightly hazy deep amber with film of egg-shell-colored head. Aroma of strong lager flavor, slight airport bathroom/urine (in a pleasant way ;), lemon grass, grainery. Body is medium-light, grit-watery texture, moderate carbonation, moderate-to-moderate-heavy burn. Flavor is lager, touch of raw wheat grain, wet hay, crisp and pleasant finish. Flavor is more enjoyable than the aroma. Body isnít bad. Needs more head and heft in the flavor.
