Pours brown amber with off white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of maltiness and bread but aroma isn’t very powerful. Taste is mostly malts with very little hop character. Kind of caramelly, but again not very powerful. Flavors don’t really stick out; almost feels like they’re in the background. Thin bodied and carbonation fades quickly. Nothing interesting on the palate. Very tame beer. Not very interesting, little flavor. Meh.

pours a brown amber with a tan head. aroma is malty and nutty. Flavor is predominately sweet malt. Thin body. Shiners are what they are. Bowling night beers

Sampled from a bottle. Darkish amber colour, with a quickly-fading white head. Not much aroma. The taste is sweet, dominated by corn syrup flavours. No hop flavour at all, and hence no bitterness. Extremely boring and bland. Very watery taste, and I had to check the bottle to see if there was any alcohol content at all. Not recommended for proper beer drinkers.

{From July 2012 notes} Pours a nice, crystal clear red-amber with a average size tan head that has only limited durability. Spotty lacing on glass. In both the taste and smell, there’s an attractive caramel malt with a bit of brown bread and corn and a touch of spicy hops but not much else. Hops are faint in the aroma and not much more apparent in tasting. Aroma of corn is too pronounced. Lightly sweet. M: Near medium body is a bit too thin; has a nice bit of dryness and a very clean finish. Good level of moderate carbonation imparts some crispness. O: While I’ve had a number of these over the years, I hadn’t had one in at least 5 years and my expectations were not high. So, i was pleasantly surprised to find an above average beer that’s highly drinkable.

2/7 - (Home) Bottle. I liked the taste and feel of this beer. Liked the hops and this beer had some kick, and was pleasant.

Pours a clear dark brownish color with hardly any head. Aroma is of very light malts with some molasses, brown sugar and dirt. Very light on the palate. Flavor is the same. Very weak and on the sweeter side. Leaves a prune like finish. Blah.

lightly hazy deep amber with film of egg-shell-colored head. Aroma of strong lager flavor, slight airport bathroom/urine (in a pleasant way ;), lemon grass, grainery. Body is medium-light, grit-watery texture, moderate carbonation, moderate-to-moderate-heavy burn. Flavor is lager, touch of raw wheat grain, wet hay, crisp and pleasant finish. Flavor is more enjoyable than the aroma. Body isn’t bad. Needs more head and heft in the flavor.

Pours a nice amber color with a small head. Lots of malt flavor, but a bit thin on the mouthfeel.

pours clear dark golden with a very small light beige cap, minimal retention and lacing. sweetish toasted maltiness, some fruitiness - aroma has lager-like mellowing notes - cherries perhaps, dusty yeastiness, plain sweetness - brown and barley caramelized sugars, some grass, metal. light carbonation, light body - slightly watery, sweetish, chalky and grassy-herbal finish. blah.
