lightly hazy deep amber with film of egg-shell-colored head. Aroma of strong lager flavor, slight airport bathroom/urine (in a pleasant way ;), lemon grass, grainery. Body is medium-light, grit-watery texture, moderate carbonation, moderate-to-moderate-heavy burn. Flavor is lager, touch of raw wheat grain, wet hay, crisp and pleasant finish. Flavor is more enjoyable than the aroma. Body isn’t bad. Needs more head and heft in the flavor.

Pours a nice amber color with a small head. Lots of malt flavor, but a bit thin on the mouthfeel.

czar (4769) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 23, 2015
pours clear dark golden with a very small light beige cap, minimal retention and lacing. sweetish toasted maltiness, some fruitiness - aroma has lager-like mellowing notes - cherries perhaps, dusty yeastiness, plain sweetness - brown and barley caramelized sugars, some grass, metal. light carbonation, light body - slightly watery, sweetish, chalky and grassy-herbal finish. blah.

Pours light brown with large-bubbled head which disappears completely. Aroma is malty, bready and pleasant. No bad flavors; more malt, caramel and bread. Very light, not complex, but really not bad. I could drink this all night and not complain.

Dark with medium head. Bready and malty. A decent beer that I really liked back in the day

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2015 12 oz. bottle from Cost Plus. Clear dark brown color with a head that thins out quick. Mild malt aroma.Taste is of sweet, bready malt up front with a crisp lager taste in the middle leaving a lingering sweetness in the mouth after its gone. It hasn’t got much in the way of hop bitterness or explosive flavor, but it’s not supposed to. I found this to be an excellent, drinkable lager beer. Love the low ABV.

Bottled. Pours a brown/amber caramel color. Small head. Aroma is malt, caramel, a little bit of green apple note?or citrus maybe. Little hop character. Flavor is malty and caramely. Not bad. Refreshing. Definite lager quality. Not bad.

Very solid session beer if you like a Bock. Good beer to eat with food. Little caramel and roasted malt. Nothing to blow your mind but it’s not meant to.
