2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours gold with a small white head. Somewhat sweet aroma with light notes of hay, wheat and funk. Moderately sweet flavor with hints of earth, grass and light malts. Pretty bland but unoffensive.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Malty aroma has a sharp, fruity and slightly yeasty overtone. Pours a nice clear yellow with a thick but not persistent ivory head. Flavor is crisp and malty, subtly fruity and yeasty, not strong. Texture has average fizz and viscosity, though the tingle does persist a little. So-so overall, but fine for sipping on a hot day or while watching a ball game.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle:   Bright straw, thin sudsy white head, little lacing.   Bright barnish nose, a little mealy and wheaty too.   Has a slight peppery aspect to it.   Soft spicy start, almost like super bright straw with some
candied caraway or something.   Hard to pinpoint.   Its not a floral spice, more like some herbal spices.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Dull spicy finish, mealy, a touch wheaty.   Not bad, but not bright at
all.   Also too mealy, needs to be more bubbley and wheaty.   I’ve had worse.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz picked up a while back at Brewer’s Haven in Boise... Pours with a short lasting white head... little lacing... the brew is slightly hazed pale golden.
Nose shows cracker like maltiness along with a lightly spicy element that I associate with clove... a little bit of lemon too, but that could be my mind playing tricks on me.
Flavor pretty much mirrors the nose... a bit more clove and a light peachy fruitiness.
Overall like a saison "lite"... still pretty drinkable... a good introductory Belgian style

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a slightly hayish yellow with less than one finger of off white head. Aroma is a bit spicy, floral, and a slight malt hint. Taste is full of grain, not too complex a slight spicy finish but weak body and weak palate. Not an amazing beer, but refreshing.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle pours with a crystal clear deep gold body with a copper core and supporting a loose weak off white head. The aroma offers up a bit of sugary sweetness and then green apple and red apple slices to go along with a touch of yeasty spices and hay. The taste starts with apple sweetness and then it picks up mild spices just as the body drops out of this leaving a watery sensation. There is also a bit of drying into the finish yet overall this seems too sweet to be refreshing.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz. Clear, orange-gold with a small ring of cream. Aroma of mild spice, papaya, dry cracked grain, lightly funky white wine cooler, wax and apple core. Flavor seems to fluctuate somewhere between awful and good with each gulp. At alternate times I taste rust, fresh apple cider, grape bubblegum, cardboard, a nice touch of earthy spices, white pepper, mango, resin, and sharply bitter wood pith. Light-medium body is drinkably watery, well-balanced and has medium carbonation. Lots of flavor here, just a bit disjointed at times. I guess by "Spring Provision Ale", they mean this is supposed to be a biere de garde. If I see one still hanging around in February or March, I might give it another try and see if some cohesiveness has developed.

Had this at Top of the Hops 2013 in the VIP section. It was alright. They were calling it Farmhouse Saison.
