COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A few centuries ago, during the cold winter months, farmhands in Europe brewed a ‘seasonal provision’ Farmhouse Ale to be enjoyed once spring rolled around. In the farmlands of Shiner, TX that tradition lives on. Which is why our tribute to this style uses Golding, Sterling and Meridian hops for a sweet yet lightly spiced flavor. Our incredibly refreshing farmhouse ale bears the name of the farm to market road just to the south of where our brewery has proudly stood for over 100 years.

Not really a Shinet brewery fan - beyond Shiner Bock. (yea I know its speotlz) ( yea I know not the right spelling). This, however, is one of their better beers. Light - nice flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a slight opaque straw yellow with thick white head, decent lacing. Aroma of bubble gum, yeast, straw, citrus, spices, and slight herbal hops. Flavor matches well and makes for a nice enjoyable brew, especially considering the source.

Slightly hazed golden pour with a white head. Sweet fruit esters of apple, banana, and pear. Light lemon zest, some cracker, a hint of biscuit, and some floral hops. A nice sweetness to the flavor of biscuit and fruit esters. Banana, pear, and apple, light lemon tartness, and yeast. Floral hops on the finish.

Bottle. Slightly funky sweet orange malt aroma. Hazy honey gold with a small white head. Orange, banana, bready malt, and light dry spice flavor. Light body, lively carbonation. I found this to be quite pleasant, which seems to put me in a minority.

Wheat and farmhouse aroma with a sweet vineous component that’s like Chardonnay. Clear medium pale yellow with a white head. A little pepper spice, coriander and funk with a good malt body. Low carbonation and the head dies quickly. Finishes slightly sweet with lasting Saison flavor. Easy to drink and refreshing, this is good warm weather beer.

12 ounce bottle. Served in a Unibroue tulip, the beer pours a hazy gold color with an inch white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. The brew smells like wheat, bubblegum, and a bit of peppery spice. I think the taste is pretty much like the aroma, with the wheat flavor being the strongest. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s a bit coating with moderate carbonation. I think it’s a solid beer. $1.99 a single bottle.

Pours a clear orangish gold color with a one-finger white head and decent lacing. Aroma is slight funkiness, fruity, and grassy. Taste is sweeter than most saisons. The flavors are fruity and spicy with a bit of yeast funkiness.

19 June 2013, bottle. Yellow, almost clear, steady bubbles. Nose is lemon zest, cobwebs, faintly tart saison yeast. Thin body and mildly fizzy. Lemon zest, slight tartness, some earthiness. Decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Wonderful sweet fruit aroma. Sweet and sour taste which spot on for this style. Bready aftertaste on the palate for this pale straw colored beer. Completely makes up for the other shiner abominations I have had in the past. A little on the thin side but very drinkable probably from being filtered.

24oz bottle. Aroma is of yeast with a little skunk. The appearance is a dark gold with little tan head. The taste farmhouse yeast with some almost saison skunk at the end. The palate is yeasty with a skunky aftertaste. Overall, i am impressed with this beer coming out of shiner. I wonder if the masses of bock fans will enjoy it. Decent beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
