Shiner Hefeweizen (Hef-ay-vite-zen) is a classic unfiltered Bavarian-style wheat brew. Once poured into a glass, the distinctively cloudy Shiner Hefeweizen delivers a fresh, satisfying flavor from start to finish.

12 oz. bottle - hazy gold with medium white head that retained there for a while. No notible aroma that i remember. Taste was WITHOUT the clove and/or bannana flavor that i expect in a Hefe but wheat malts seem to be about right. Seems like they used a standard brewing yeast strain; like you would find in a lager. Palate and overall was ok.

With fairly aggressive pouring I got a small to medium sized off white head that quickly faded to almost nil and no lace. Color is amber and I see no yeast sediment. Aroma is malt grain hay and a little fruit. Flavor is like aroma plus a little tang in the end. Have no idea where the "Bavarian" part comes in. Body is ok and so is carbonation. Kind of a sweet tart finish. If there were only light or common beer other than this, then I’d choose this. Left handed compliment.

Pours slightly cloudy honey with small white head. Hop floral, sweet with a small amount of bread. An okay wheat, but it lacks something. Zero finish.

Bottle from a Family Reunion 6’er poured into a pint glass. A hazy light light yellow with a medium white head. Smells pretty good with hops, grass and lemon. Tastes of clover and lemon. Pretty crisp and clean, but there is a little bit of an adjunct aftertaste.

Hazy golden color/ fleeting white head. Spicy black pepper, clove, dry hay aromas. medium bodied. Pale wheat, yeasty bready pale malt flavors. Good mouthfeel but a bit bland and one dimensional.

Pours a lightly hazy yellow with a creamy head that recedes quickly. Aroma is sweet, lemony. Flavor is light tartness, citrus, pretty boring and bland.
