Bottle tasting at work... as far as the Shiner line goes, this is probably the best of the bunch. Not an amazing beer by any respect, but the honey infused bottle fermentation and the slightly sour (but enjoyably so) finish certaintly makes this at leaste more interesting than its watery bretheren. Considering the price, I wouldn’t mind drinking a sixer for a change of pace... fortunately the honey they add for the secondary fermantation isn’t enough to make it cloying... not bad. Not great, but not bad.

Very light as far as hefe’s go but I do like this beer. It may actually resemble a wit more than a hefe due to its lightness. Pours somewhat clear by wheat beer standards. Little to no aftertaste.

355mL. Aroma is grassy, light spice, no yeast (no hefe). Obviously this is drinkable, but it much too sour, grassy, and is overpowered by molding/fermenting banana bread. Thin-bodied, sour (not a good sour- more like just lemon juice). Meh.

This light-bodied hefeweizen has a frothy, bubbly head atop a pale yellow body. The aroma is pretty citric with a hint of spice. The flavor is a little metallic, bitterly so. The citrus flavor is hard to detect... Not that pleasant to drink to be perfectly honest. Save your money to spend on something else...

Pours a dirty hazy orange, aroma is soapy. Flavor is carbonated with citrus hints, drinkable but definitely one of the weaker brews in the Shiner lineup.

Bottle. Pours cloudy dark yellow with a quickly-dissipating white head. Aroma of wheat and citrus. Flavor is of wheat with a citrus and cereal aftertaste. Not really sure what is going on here. Not too terrible, but not great either.

Bottle from Shiner family variety pack. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange color. Fairly thin head that reduces to nothing rather quickly. Spicy wheat aroma. Tastes of wheat and clove with medium sourness. Thin mouthfeel with some hop bitterness in the finish.
