COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Shiner Hefeweizen (Hef-ay-vite-zen) is a classic unfiltered Bavarian-style wheat brew. Once poured into a glass, the distinctively cloudy Shiner Hefeweizen delivers a fresh, satisfying flavor from start to finish.

Not a very good hefeweizen, and not a good Shiner. Too watery, too banana.

I found this Hefe to be pretty average compared to others I’ve tried. It had an oddly sweet aftertaste, with the citrus being stronger than the banana. On the other hand, it’s light and very easy to drink.

Nose shows banana and citrus but no clove. Lightly tart with a nice wheaty flavor. Carbonation is sprightly and that mixed with the tartness make a decent summertime quencher. Finish is long and fruity. Not to style, but tasty nonetheless.

Bottle: Tooooooooooo citrus and acod some skunkiness. Drank at rcasta. Food pairing: something to kill the foul aftertaste.

Poured a hazy yellow/amber with a medium white foamy head. Aromas of citrus, lemon, and wheat. Lots of carbonation. Flavor is citrus, wheat, and sweet malts. Slightly sour. Finish is mostly of the carbonation. Overall very drinkable, but nothing remarkable, not the best example of the style.

It’s fine... it’s what Shiner is famous for - making a weaker flavored copy of a traditional style of beer that is exceptionally easy to drink.
