COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Shiner Hefeweizen (Hef-ay-vite-zen) is a classic unfiltered Bavarian-style wheat brew. Once poured into a glass, the distinctively cloudy Shiner Hefeweizen delivers a fresh, satisfying flavor from start to finish.

12oz bottle from Total Wine Charlotte. Pours a cloudy honey color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly and leaves little lacing on the glass. Aroma: spicy, lemon peel, honey. Flavor: tart wheaty, citrus with a quick, watery, lemony finish.

hazy, dark yellow beer, with white disappearing head; aroma is yeasty with a slight bit of citrus; tastes of water and hop with little else; finish begins with hop bitterness and eases to a slight sweetness; might work for a hot day, but I think I’d rather have water.

lithy (2913) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 29, 2008
Pale golden color with a light white head that leaves some lacing. Harse wheat nose more like cheap macro lagers, just not pleasant. Mouth is average Blue Moon carbonated and light. Taste is light wheat but very little else. The finish is again more akin to a macro lager. Very unpleasant.

Medium sized head, cloudy golden appearance. Smells of lemon, tastes very wheaty, slightly watery. Has that characteristic "Shiner" flavor. Leaves a strong citrus aftertaste. Decent brew.

Not much head, but I love the citrus aroma and accents. I usually drink dark ales, but found this to be a very refreshing change of pace. Much sharper flavored than other hefeweizen’s I’ve tried.

This has a nice orange, lemon zest to it. I found it extremely refreshing easy to drink.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy pale golden color with a small white head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is a spicy orange and light hops. The taste is a sweet orange and a light clove aftertaste. A decent wheat ale and easy to drink from Shiner.

In OK Hef, but for the ability to find and the cost, not bad. Good color and aroma though. Left a kind of acid bitter palate
