UPDATED: JUN 10, 2008 This is far from traditional. Reminded me of lemon juice mixed with beer. Few redeeming qualities. cloudy and no head. Cool label, though... Quite blase...

The aroma is of grapefruit juice and the flavor is very light with just a hint of honey. The after taste of grapefruit rind lingers on the finish and gives you a not so liked bitter tounge. The apperance was very cloudy. Being a novice beer drinker I’m not sure if this is good or bad, but to me it did not look too appealing. Definitly did not care for this one.

I guess this is what would happen if budweiser tried a wheat. The head is way too thin for a what. The aroma and taste have a sourness that if it were to come out of my carboy, I might pour it down the drain. Tastes like a wheat with an infection.

On Tap: It looks like a hefeweizen should, maybe a little darker. Slight haze, minimal head (a small ring around hte edge). Citrusy wheat and grasses are faint but the only three smells I can disscern. The flavor is the same as the aromas, and also on the weak side of things. Slightly more bite that I was expecting from a hefe.

Cool bottle with the upside down dude. Cloudy pour, not much head. Smells wheaty and has some clove and banana bread in the nose. The beer is light bodied and well balanced. Not the best wheat, but not bad.

Wow am I going against the grain here. I thought this was a near perfect hefe. Aroma of banana and citrus? Pour was a cloudy and bubbly orange with a nice puffy 2 finger head. Taste was tangy and wheaty. Nice sourness I wasn’t expecting. Different and good

The aroma is very bad and the grapefruit like tart flavor follows. Tangy sour chucks of yeast coagulate this concoction until you look at the glass and ask yourself, "what am I heck am I drinking"? The beer has a decen t head and decent lacing but I just can’t get past the wheaty aroma of the beer, which then permeates my taste buds, whihc are crying for a relief from a smooth stout!
