COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Shiner Hefeweizen (Hef-ay-vite-zen) is a classic unfiltered Bavarian-style wheat brew. Once poured into a glass, the distinctively cloudy Shiner Hefeweizen delivers a fresh, satisfying flavor from start to finish.

pours a hazy very pale yellow with a medium amount of froathy bubbly head. Aroma is yeasty and slightly spicey, but overall not very good. Flavor is light but a bit sour and lemony. Overall, not my favorite.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a hazy with with yeast swirls dark yellow colored body and a good lacing. The aroma was malty and mild spice. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt and mild spice. Not one that I would likely buy again.

UPDATED: MAR 4, 2007 Little carbination, head dissipates quickly leaving slight lacing. Aroma has hints of banana and citrus. Flavor is fruity leaving a nice aftertaste. Poured from a bottle it is a very cloudy golden yellow color.

UPDATED: APR 2, 2007 It tastes like beer. It looks like beer. It feels like beer. Overall it’s beer. It’s so boring I would’ve rather drank a disgusting beer.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2007 Bottled poured into weizen glass. Hazy goulden colour with a short head that quickly disappears. Both the aroma and the flavour are overly citrus, almost sour.

Bottle. Small white fizzy head that mostly diminished, virtually no lacing to speak of, very little carbonation, cloudy, and a dark yellow-golden hue. Nose was sweet, orange peel, some lemon notes, some spicy notes and overall a weak nose. Flavor was orange peel, somewhat citrusy, some spice, and sweet. Smooth mouthfeel. Light body. Not real impressed with this one. It is what it is.

Draft. Cloudy pour with small head. A bit weak in flavor, a little watery, but crisp flavor and not too bad.

I’ll argue this beer to the grave, I’m a bit biased since it was my first hefe and I tend to love the ol’ brewery in Shiner, but I find this beer refreshing and light enough to share several with friends.
