COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Shiner Hefeweizen (Hef-ay-vite-zen) is a classic unfiltered Bavarian-style wheat brew. Once poured into a glass, the distinctively cloudy Shiner Hefeweizen delivers a fresh, satisfying flavor from start to finish.

Not brilliant as as a hefeweizen, but not bad as a beer. Little head, though nice cloudy golden appearance. Early flavors of caramel-covered apples, and later more fruitiness, though some alcohol pops through the flavor later as well.

It has a nice simple American wheat taste that does not contain the "clove" tastes of the true German wheat beers such as Paulaner or Franziskaner.

Great local buy. Different from German Wheats but well worth having in the refrigerator. Actually enjoyed it more than Paulaner Hefe.

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2003 Interesting and widely available Hefeweizen where I live. Cloudy orange appearance with very fruity flavor. Tastes a little too sour to me sometimes but overall worth trying.

Lightly cloudy with a sour yeasty aroma. Medium bodied with a sour bite and a light fizziness. Basically average for its style. Pretty drinkable.

Bottle. A hazy yellow orange with a foamy white head. The aroma has a nice citrus, orange and peach glow. A sweet peach flavor.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2004 A decent beer. Not as citrusy as many hefeweizens, which is a plus. It was decent, but nothing memorable.

An average wheat beer. A touch of lemon in there somewhere, nothing special.

Orange-amber color with white medium head. Translucent. Smells citrusy and tastes likewise. Refreshing, but I am unable to drink more than one of these at a time.
