This one made me appreciate unfiltered beers.Serve it with a squeeze of fresh lemon and it blows a Corona (with lime of course)or a lemon flavored malt brew away.

Sweet & soft nose. Cloudy-apricot color. Clean, rather palatable. Tingly mouthfeel with a hefty amount of carbonation... which seems to leave a bitter ’off’ flavor. Finishes bitter with some sourness. Overall, not bad, but certainly nowhere near the best. Missing that ’clover/banana/yeasty’ flavor that most hefes have... too clean and light to hold the ’Hefeweizen’ name.

Really more of an American Wheat rather than German - given its clean flavors. Cloudy yellow with thick head which faded maybe a little to quickly given style. Clean and mild aroma - flavor also clean and mild. Mild malt flavors almost zesty. Light bitterness is too much for style. No yeast flavors/effects to speak of - maybe a hint of something herbal. Slight alcohol warming in the finish was unexpected.

I guess the acidic off flavor I detected must be lemon added intentionally. I guess this is more of a witbier than a hefe. Either way, not particularly good or interesting.

Cloudy, strong citrus/lemon overtones. They advise you to enjoy with a ’generous lemon wedge’. Don’t think so. Good, but won’t be buying anytime soon

Not too bad of a hefe. If they’d lose the lemon peel flavor it’d be a lot better.

As a fellow Texan I too wanted to like this, but I don’t, at least not as much as some. It has a great aroma, and I agree it doesn’t need lemon but I just don’t like the taste. It’s too much like the Michelob hefe, and I expected more than just a good-smelling but otherwise bland beer. If had wanted a beer just to guzzle on a hot summer day I would have bought one. I WANTED a hefe...

Pretty good heffe. Great aroma when poured. I can really taste the lemon in this brew. I feel I don’t need to add any more lemon...it was brewed with lemon peels already.

Comparable to the Michelob version; too much like an American wheat. Their range needed something more distinctive (i.e. separate from their Honey Wheat). Great to chug, but not for those who love the hefe cloves and bananas.
