355ml bottle from a publix in Kissimmee Florida. Hazed golden with a lasting white head. Wheaty citrus aroma. The flavour is similar. A lightly fruity off dry wheat ale. Not a classic hefe but not a bad beer. I’d have this again. FLVC2 #16

Bottle from a mixed six pack. Pour has a lightly clouded bright golden color and a covering of white head that stuck around a while. Aroma has banana yeast, wheat, and some grainy bitterness. Mouth feel is medium light and the carbonation medium low. Flavor has bitter wheat, yeast, and grass.

Bottle. Aroma of bland malts and an unclear sweet smell. Tastes bland, has an unsavory sweetness to it with an overall taste of crap wheat and has a funky sour note to the end of it. As I’m drinking it, I don’t want to say it’s awful, but then when you break it down it sort of is. We’ll call it greater than the sum of its parts, and just say it’s better than Miller Lite and be done, k? 5.28% alcohol.

A cloudy, lemon yellow body with a thin, soapy head. The aroma is really subtle. There is a little citrus and hops, not much else. The flavor is fairly weak. There’s a bit of pungent hops in the middle of the sip and a little citrus in the close, but not a lot else. This beer is not among Shiner’s best and not a great example of the style.

Hazy, straw yellow. Grassy aroma with a lemon - pepper taste. Pretty sharp for a Hefe but not bad.

12 oz bottle poured into my Funkwerks glass. Golden-orange and cloudy with one finger of spotty white foam. The aroma is sweet and fruity with orange peel, wheat malts and yeast. Pretty light body with a crisp feel. Yeasty, fruity, sweet flavor with a dry bitter finish. Kind of refreshing, but pretty bland overall.

Appearance: The body leans a bit orange with pale straw on the edges with a very cloudy appearance. The white head is tall and fluffy with decent retention, it settles into a thin coating with a creamy ring.
Aroma: This is a tart aroma, sort of like hair gel actually. Citrus is strong here with a touch of banana. I’m not huge on this.
Taste: The flavor is a touch sweet with citrus and the wheat lending a mild flavor until the finish which reminds me of orange juice. The orange juice isn’t overwhelming, but it’s prominent and a tad tart.
Palate: Creamy and full bodied with lively carbonation.
Overall: This is sort of good, but the aroma is odd and smells like LA Looks hair gel at times. Too much citrus for me and not enough yeast presence. This isn’t bad, especially for the price, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
