COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
’Tis the Season for Cheer

Happy Holidays from the "Little Brewery" in Shiner, TX. We hope you enjoy your Shiner Cheer, an Old World Dunkelweizen brewed with Texas peaches and roasted pecans. The malty flavors of this dark wheat ale are enhanced through the use of malted barley and wheat. And Kräusening ensures a smoothnessthat makes the subtle peach and pecan flavors all the more satisfying. May your days be merry and bright and your Shiner be cold.

PROSIT!

On tap at Yard House Houston. It pours a clear, dark amber to light brown body and a finger thick, dense off-white head. The aroma has a touch of dried grass, along with lots of apricot sweets. A faint spiced hint too. It’s quite sweet on the palate, lots of apricot flavor, some caramel and a little bitterness and spiciness. Medium body, soft and pleasant carbonation and a short fruity finish. A decent one, but it fails to give me the Christmas spirit. 131114

Bottle. Aroma has an interesting combo of peach and caramel. Taste is fruity, malty, light spice. Different than your usual holiday beer, a welcomed change of pace.

Bottle from Total Wine in Roseville, CA. Pours ruddy amber with a foamy beige head. Unusual nutty peach aroma. Sort of like somebody baked a cake? Med + body/frothy carb. The flavor is passing strange. There’s a lot of bitter nut oil, and there’s a lot of peach. I have never tasted anything like this. These guys are insane. The finish is like sucking walnuts - ok like sucking pecans. Pretty darn astringent. These guys are insane. I’m not sure I like the flavor - but I’m rating it like I do. These guys have driven me insane.

@Jethro’s Drake-lt tan-copper. A-fruit-cherry/peach, butter rum, some med malt. T-med malt-roasty, fruit, 2nd hop balances the sweet.

Bottle. Poured clear reddish brown color and an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate dark tart fruit aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. Medium tart fruit sweet flavor with a medium spicy sweet fruit finish of moderate duration. Refreshing fruit beer.

Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, nutty), average hops (flowers, perfume), average yeast (leather) with notes of peaches, apple, pear, cinnamon, and ginger. Medium bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

Draft… Beautiful, clear ruby ale with a brief, white head. The aroma is a swirl of caramel, peach and citrus fruits. Medium-bodied and creamy with tingly carbonation. The flavor is balanced nicely, but caramel and medium-roast malts are the highlights. Finishes malty, toasty and caramely, but fairly crisp at the same time. Better than expected.
