COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
’Tis the Season for Cheer

Happy Holidays from the "Little Brewery" in Shiner, TX. We hope you enjoy your Shiner Cheer, an Old World Dunkelweizen brewed with Texas peaches and roasted pecans. The malty flavors of this dark wheat ale are enhanced through the use of malted barley and wheat. And Kräusening ensures a smoothnessthat makes the subtle peach and pecan flavors all the more satisfying. May your days be merry and bright and your Shiner be cold.

PROSIT!

On tap at Yard House Houston. It pours a clear, dark amber to light brown body and a finger thick, dense off-white head. The aroma has a touch of dried grass, along with lots of apricot sweets. A faint spiced hint too. It’s quite sweet on the palate, lots of apricot flavor, some caramel and a little bitterness and spiciness. Medium body, soft and pleasant carbonation and a short fruity finish. A decent one, but it fails to give me the Christmas spirit. 131114

Bottle from Total Wine in Roseville, CA. Pours ruddy amber with a foamy beige head. Unusual nutty peach aroma. Sort of like somebody baked a cake? Med + body/frothy carb. The flavor is passing strange. There’s a lot of bitter nut oil, and there’s a lot of peach. I have never tasted anything like this. These guys are insane. The finish is like sucking walnuts - ok like sucking pecans. Pretty darn astringent. These guys are insane. I’m not sure I like the flavor - but I’m rating it like I do. These guys have driven me insane.

@Jethro’s Drake-lt tan-copper. A-fruit-cherry/peach, butter rum, some med malt. T-med malt-roasty, fruit, 2nd hop balances the sweet.

Tasted from a 12 oz. bottle purchased in Fort Collins, Colorado. Medium amber, pretty translucent appearance. Quite fruity aroma- mostly like peaches but it could easily be described as tropical fruit. Light bodied flavor with hints of tropical fruit. Pretty simple and not all that interesting.

Damn mar you didnt tell me how cool this beer way. I didn’t read the label and was expecting another ho hum xmas beer. Damn the peaches and pecans jump out at you and say hello with gusto! Nice amber pour. small head. Peaches are everywhere on the nose and the tongue with slight pecan hints and the flavor has a very slight bitter finish. This was a fun beer.
