COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
íTis the Season for Cheer

Happy Holidays from the "Little Brewery" in Shiner, TX. We hope you enjoy your Shiner Cheer, an Old World Dunkelweizen brewed with Texas peaches and roasted pecans. The malty flavors of this dark wheat ale are enhanced through the use of malted barley and wheat. And Kršusening ensures a smoothnessthat makes the subtle peach and pecan flavors all the more satisfying. May your days be merry and bright and your Shiner be cold.

reddish brown "caramel added" coloring, pours a decent but quickly disappearing head. can smell the peaches a mile away. watery body without bitterness, tastes like peaches with maybe a whisper of a fatty pecan taste. the old dunkel was much, much better. probably wont be buying this again, but i suppose itís decent if you really really like peaches.

12oz can from Kroger, Grandview. Brown- orange pour with thin dirty white head. Aroma of sugar, caramel malt. Tastes are caramel, toffee, wheat, apricot.

The cap on this say itís a gift to me from Shiner. Thanks, Shiner, but while everyone says itís the thought that counts, I would kind of have wished for a better beer if you were going to give me one. Jokes aside, this in not entirely awful. It is amber brown w/ a foamy head and just a touch of lace. It tastes like a mildly roasty American amber or brown with a hint of peach Jolly Ranchers. This is slightly sweet and actually seems to have a decent malt character underneath the slightly metallic hop bitterness and artificial flavor. Overall, this is drinkable--esp. when it is still quite cold--but I canít exactly call it a quality beer. At the very least it is a break from more spice laden Christmas ales though.

Pours a clear amber with a fizzy head. Aroma is faint plum, peach, brown bread. Taste is a wave of peach pie wth pecan topping. Some caramel, a hint of pie spices. Light bodied. Kinda fizzy. Pecan is very pronounced in the finish. I didnít find it overly sweet, definitely a unique brew. Worth a try.

Poured a dark amber colour with hints of ruby. Aroma is nutty with notes of peach and fig. Taste is pecan and peach with a bit of cream on the finish. Little presence of alcohol or bitterness. Interesting, but not a fan.

Bottle from ABC. Pours a beautiful dark golden amber with a thin head and almost no lacing. Aroma is equal parts fruit and nut, with the peach really coming through. Taste is very light, thin, and smooth; carbonation is pretty high. Very light-bodied with a surprisingly nice finish and aftertaste. A solid winter brew. Acquire. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle from Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. A weak beer overall with a hint of peaches and pecans. I wouldnít ask for a second.

Itís okay it smells kind of fake. The taste is alright. Really sugary sweet. Some plum and syrupy sweetness. Not bad just kind of average. it tastes like cough syrup too. weird.

Dark Fall amber colour. Light head. Just a hint of a metallic note. Kind of a weird aroma; sweet, baking additives like artificial flavours, nuts and cheap candy. Now that I described the aroma I get a lot of reflective notes in the flavor. Light sweetness, dime store toffee, pecans, have to search for the peach but then it jumps a bit in the searchlight. Overall OK in that mini-macro way.

Holiday Cheer pours an amber-brown color with a thick creamy head. I have an issue with the appearance because Shiner used caramel coloring and this beer is still not ídunkelí. The aroma presents fruit that could be pineapple, cherry, or peach and a hint of spice. The taste reveals that it is peach and the finish is creamy with a mild nuttiness. Shiner is ambiguous as to whether this is spiced, and there is no bittering but that is okay in this style. An interesting brew but not a great one.
