2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
I would not call it hop-jacked, but at least it’s got more hops than macro lagers (which isn’t too hard to achieve anyway). I don’t remember this beer much, but then again that means it wasn’t very memorable.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
A rather uneventful, session type beer that does not stand out in any way. I’ll pass next time.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
orangeish golden colour with a small frothy white head. Aroma is definately on the malty side with carmel notes. Flavours of corn, caramel and soft hops. A pretty decent lager all around.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Shiner Kosmos is an orange beer with aroma that is very hoppy, as far as lagers go. The hops are rather herbal. The malty aroma comes out in sipping. It’s a rather subtle beer, but it’s alright.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz bottle from Shiner Variety Pack. Pours a nice clear golden color, minimal lacing. Aroma is yeasty and bready like a typical lager but with a hoppy floral accent. Not as skunky as many lagers. Some toastiness as well. Taste is a good mix between sweet malty and bitter but really nothing too overpowering. Palate is smooth, slightly bitter aftertaste. I like it better than the traditional Shiner Bock, not a bad beer.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Wenig bitteres Finish. 7/8/8/7/8/8

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
12 oz from a mixed 6 purchased at Spirits Brick. This beer poured a nice clear deep copper/bronze body under a bubbly white head. Aroma and flavor are not offensive they are just plain boring. Slight notes of grain and grass. Body screams macro with a mostly watery feel and stingy bubbly carboantion. NJ already has Yuengling Premium Lager not quite sure why we need this to?

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
I have a friend from Texas who cherishes this beer with an almost cult fervor - apparently he isn’t alone. My only question is... why? I never really liked their Bock. It’s OK. A step up from Buttwiper, maybe. The other day I picked up their "Sampler Pack", thinking I’d give their other offerings a try. I was actually surprised to find that every one of them basically tasted the same. There was no variety, only subtle shades of blech. I won’t say these guys don’t know how to make beer. They just don’t know how to make very good beer. Must be a Texas thing...

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz. bottle from Tmoney99. Pours a clear golden color with a medium whitish head. The aroma has some grainy, bready malt with a surprising amount of spicy grassy hops. Very little from the nose makes it into the flavor. This is a fairly clean straight forward lager. Nothing really bad here; it is what it is.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours clear pale orange with a small white head. Smells like an exceptionally hopped lager; has that "typical" beer smell. Tastes like more bitter "typical" lager; there really is nothing special about this. Medium-bodied with a thin, slick texture and prickly mouth-carbonation; Shiner Kosmos Reserve finishes with a bitter astringency that makes one want to drink something that is not this.
