3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
I recall this being one of the original Shiner products, and it was Discontinued for years. I still have one of the original, unopened beers from the late 90’s.

12 oz bottle pours a rosey gold color with a thin white foamy head. Aroma of floral hops hay and cereal. Taste the same. Faint dead flowers, citrus, barnyard. Dry perfumey finish.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
From the 12 fl oz bottle. A golden yellow pour under a white fizzy head. The aroma is sweet, grainy, and slightly grassy. The body is light. The taste has a more forward grainy malt character and a semi dry finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Transfer from BA review on 10-18-12-
Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance –Pours a golden amber color with a two finger white head. The head has a decent level of retention, fading over about a 5 min time frame to leave a rather light level of lacing.
Smell – The aroma is of sweet caramel as well as a good bready aroma. With these aromas is a lighter smell of a very light earthy nature.
Taste – The taste is bready and malty upfront. Some lighter sweetness is present up front as well. It is mainly caramel in taste and as the taste advances further it sweetens more toward the middle to the end. At the end a very light earthy and herbal flavor comes to the tongue with some of the caramel fading. In the end a rather crisp and biscuit flavor is left to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the very average side in terms of its thickness and creaminess. It furthermore has a very average carbonation level. Both are fine for the style, but nothing too out of the ordinary.
Overall – Pretty easy drinking, but rather average for a lager. Alright and it is rather easy drinking.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
12oz into a glass. Pours a bronzed orange fire amber color. And thats all thats good with this one. Like the premium lager but a different color. Sessionable is in its favor, downable after mowing the lawn, giving to a sort of friend who thinks hes getting a good beer would be the best furture for any of these. Bland metallic and corn mixture is still bouncing around in my mouth. Pay it forward, this shiner is awesome.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Nice smell, a little bland. Good opaque translucent color. Nice "wet" mouthfeel. Strongest flavor is a a graininess. Refreshing and crisp. A boutique bud light.

Another bottle from the "Family Reunion" mixed sixer. Pours out a clear medium golden color. Crisp and clean drinking. It is what it is.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a golden yellow with no foam head. Has an aroma of bread and wheat. Flavor is also bread and wheat along with plenty of carbonation. Very little hops, despite what is advertised. Very weak in all regards - much like most commercial beers. Meh.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear brown amber with a light tan frothy head. Aroma of deep malt. Taste is mild malty. Not a lot of hops. So so.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Its body has a light golden color and good clarity with a tall white soapy head. This tall head quickly settles down to thin film of foam. Lacing is slick and minimal. There is not much here at all really just faint pale grainy malt notes with some light hints of grassy hops. There is a light sweetness from a white bready maltiness and cereal grain adjunct notes. The hops balance this with some grassy/earthy bitterness. There is a slight citrus like acidity as well in there. The finish is soft and dry with light carbonation.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
rating due to psychic hypnosis via Buffalo alien. This is a mess. A hopped up and unbalance lager. Ugh. As a hop grower I am insulted at the waste of decent hops in this concoction of abject commercialism. Bleah.
