2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clean, light lager with some hopping. Light body, straw and lighter malt flavors. I’d drink this if I saw it on tap or buy a 6 pack for a bbq.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from 12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma- mild aroma of malt and caramel.
Appearance- A nice dark golden color with a fairly large off-white head.
Taste- Has a yeasty flavor with a hint of caramel and some hop added for good measure.
Palate- A light bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Has a light and crisp finish.
Overall- A slightly better than average beer, I would drink it again but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
The pour is a clear medium amber with a white frothy head. The aroma was somewhat mild with a wet cardboard adjunct odor, a mild hint of floral hops and a light touch of sweet malts. I find this to be a smooth crisp brew with a slight caramel malty taste and a decent hoppy finish. Definitely a well balanced Lager and would be a great brew for a nice spring day...

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from 12 oz bottle into schooner glass.
Appearance: a 2" sudsy off white head falls moderately with some decent lacing remaining. Color is a clear deep golden with moderate streaming carbonation.
Aroma: fairly mild, just some light bread crust and a bit of sweet caramel.
Mouthfeel: fairly light and crisp with a mild, easy finish.
Flavor: toasted bread, some caramel and raisin, a decent hop bite in the finish and lingering in the swallow.
Overall: very good but not outstanding. Somewhat reminds me of Shiner Oktoberfest but with less flavor.

Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head that left quite a bit of lacing. The aroma is bready, cereal, malts, some hops. The taste is rather sweet malts, caramel, and toffee with only faint hops.

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2015 Thanks to the neighbors. Oh this wasn’t so bad, not great but for a regular old lager it didn’t have the macro taste. Serving: Bottle

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This beer is fragrant with hops. It displays the characteristics of a continental European lager, though more Dutch than German. It is not quite as dry as I would like but a pleasant and drinkable brew anyway.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours a clear ark gold body under a small fizzy white head that faded to a thin covering. The nose is mostly grainy malt with a minimal hoppiness, it smells a bit of hot cereal. The flavor is a little on the sweeter side than I’d like for a lager, some grainy husky malt on the finish. Very minimal bitterness. Light to medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Meh, even for Shiner this is on the weaker side of their efforts.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 ounce single bottle from a Shiner six pack purchased at the local Harris Teeter. Pours a light copper color with a thin, disappearing head. Aroma is grain with a hint of floral hops. Taste is similar with a bit of a bitterness. Not bad, but Shiner can do better!
