1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours brilliantly clear deep gold with weak white head. The mild aroma has notes of sweetness and fruity esters and maybe a touch of biscuit. The taste is sort of yuck with sweet slick malts, oddly thin body, graininess and floral hops. It ends with a touch of grainy malts and faint spicy hops. These faint flavors really don’t go well together here.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours copper/gold with a thin white head. Smells of corn, some spice, stale hops, earthy. Tastes of caramel, spice, some sweet citrussy splashes on the finish. Very drinkable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle:   Translucent golden, very clear, thin whispy white head, sparce lacing.   Pale bready nose, fairly malty.   Sweet malty start, even a little bit of peppercorn or something.   Not half bad.   Pale breadiness.   Seems pretty smooth.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   The breadiness for some reason reminds me of waffles.   Clean on the finish.   Simple straight forward lager that has the right amount of sweetness.   Fairly tasty.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle (12oz). Shared by garthicus with me and blankboy. Clear amber, no head. Grain and tupentine aroma, sweet and harsh. Tastes like fake maple syrup aged in an old LawnBoy bag - ugh. Light, slick, still mouthfeel, sweet, with an ugly aftertaste. Tick - and NEVER again.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle into a pint glass. An interesting somewhat hopped up addition by Shiner. One of their better beers, but still doesn’t blow me away.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz. bottle from a mixed 12-pack. Pours a clear gold color with some visible rising carbonation and a small white head. Aroma of bready malts, peppery spice, crackers, and maybe a bit of grass and grains. Flavor of sweet, bready malts, toast, crackers, pepper and faint herbs. Light-bodied, with medium-high carbonation and a crisp, malty mouthfeel. Dry finish. I enjoyed this the most of the 4 new Shiner beers I tried in this pack; better than the Hefe, Alt, or Blonde.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle ($1.48 Single) and served in standard pint glass: Pours a clean golden hue with a good fizzy head and spotty lace. The aroma has notes of wet pale grains, corn, slight oxidization, buttery and a some grassy hop. The taste is exactly what you expected (sadly), a adjunct influenced lager with a light skunked character. There is a bit more bitterness upon the finish than found in most cheap ’merican versions but that is like putting lipstick on a pig. To call this "reserve" give an impression of higher quality... not the case.
