1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Pours with no head over a very light cardboard hued body. Aroma of cereal, light german hops, a bit of dust and a touch of DMS (cooked corn). Taste is a bit of dirt or soil, metallic copper and DMS. Bone dry mouthfeel and a metallic finish. Kosmos should be rolling in his grave knowing this was named after him.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle into a pint glass. An interesting somewhat hopped up addition by Shiner. One of their better beers, but still doesn’t blow me away.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
pours unclear bright gold with a shy white head, little retention/lacing. booze, toasted sugary malts, malt extract, caramel stench - like found in cheap acrid and almost rotten fruitieness, iron and other mineral traces. loose carbonation, light to medium body - oily, semi-sweet, metallic and bland woodsy-grassy finish. blah.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottled. Poured crystal-clear honeyed golden with a tall cap of white head. The aroma picked up bright, funky straw and vegetal notes upfront, with pale malts beneath.. this was offensive. The flavor found roughly the same stuff.. pale malts at the core with just a little interesting honey extending outward.. vegetal bitterness surrounded and stuck on the finish.. soured up the belly a tad after the swallow. Light-bodied and tacky on the palate.. bad stuff.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - 12 oz bottle - part of their "Family Reunion" six pack. Pours a medium copper, thin white head. Pretty much a neutral aroma, brief hints of cardboard. Flavor has some brief caramel accents, a hint of spent grain, just a trace of nuttiness. Mouthfeel is thick enough for the style. Decent, just slightly bland.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle. Poured a clear copper/bronze color with a white head. Aroma was bready and sweet malts,. flavor was a bit grainy, with notes of lemon, citrus. Pretty much a forgettable beer, but very enjoyable. Lagered, typical, quite drinkable if it was around, but may as well get their standards.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Clear deep golden with a thin Rocky white head. Funky earhy biscuit with a full yeasty lageriness. Clean quaffable body like all other Shiners; but with lots of crisp cracker and bread crust lager tones. It’s just a crisp lager without any corn notes or badness. But it also has no nuance. Clean and well made, but it’s still a blank canvas.
