Pours pale copper with a fast fleeting head and no lacing. A little grainy on the nose. Medium nectar with ample effers. A malty backbone sustains the brew featuring a mild hop twitch to bitter. Big on flavor. More like a light Marzen. It’s actually not bad. I think i like this stuff. For a light beer I am impressed.

12 oz. bottle served in shaker- poured transparent light brown with a slight amount of copper, no head at all, light carbonation. Very light aroma of malt and hops. Hits the mouth with low body, malt is there and is pleasent, finish is rather dry. Nice looking- good for the unreal heat down here in Texas during the summers after working all day outdoors, but that’s about it.

It’s a light beer, water down, metallic, salty taste, virtually no head at all and crystal clear.

Appearance: Pours a clear, gold, fairly effervescent body with a foamy, off-white head. Smell: Slight aroma of grainy malts with a fairly mild whiff of Noble hop character. Taste: Light maltiness upfront, perhaps a bit grainy, maybe even a touch bready. Faint sweetness. Lightly fruity. Just enough Noble hops and imparted bitterness to provide some balance. The latter half is dominated by a taste of sweet steeped grains until you reach the semi-dry finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium-plus carbonation. Drinkability: Not so bad, actually! A light beer that isn’t entirely devoid of character and flavor.

Kind of an orangish amber pour. Was expecting pee, but no, it’s a nice amber pour with some fizzy white head. A grainy, stingy aroma. Flavor is malty, a bit of caramel, and stale corn. It’s easy to crush, thats for sure, but the stale corn gets a bit sour. Better saying one kind of pee is better than another kind of pee is missing the point: it’s still pee.

Part of the Shiner Family Reunion 6 pack: Poured a suprisingly deep amber colour with a full white head. I was expected it to be golden. Taste is pretty malty for the most part. Noticeable grain, with a little bit of caramel undertones. Aroma i couldn’t get beyond- corn, some stale hops and a tiny bit of bread.

Pours sort of a honey pale golden color with a medium to large sized creay off white head that turns soapy. Initially this beer looks really nice. Nose is stale sour bread, with a faint hint of malt... very weak.Taste is metal, faint caramel, (just noticed the munich malt... explains the color and taste) and even a bit of maple syrup hmmm did npt expect that. Mouthfeel is acidic, highly carbonated and the finish is short.

Reviewed 3/5/2009 (bottle): Pours a small whitish colored head, very quickly diminishing. Light amber colored body, fizzy, very clear. Somewhat nutty, very malty, pilsenery aroma. Light aroma, typical aroma of a light lager, not very appealing. Nutty taste, nutty carbonated aftertaste. Light mouthfeel, somewhat creamy body. Pretty clean aftertaste. Has that acidic taste, I find often in lagers. Might be more refreshing after a long hot activity.
