2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a white head with a dark golden body. Smells of malt and a hint of hops. Malty flavor and mouthfeel with ever so slight pine hop. Decent for a light

Pours amber, not the straw yellow one might expect. Closer to their Bock. All I get is watery corn and some sweetness with carbonation. Yuck. Pretty plain and flaccid.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2011 Very reminiscent of Point Lager, not horrible, a little hops, a little malts, a good thirst quencher.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle: Poured a clear golden color with thin white head. Aroma is sweet grass and malt. Taste is a nice carbonated malt sweet on the tongue and long lasting.

Part 4 of Shiner variety pack. Pours light amber--much darker than youíd expect from a light lager. Similar aroma to Shiner Bock and Kosmos, just weaker presence, tougher to find. Head is big bubbles, peaks at 1" or so, then descends into the usual light lager flat-top. This is actually a fine beer, especially for a light. Touch of caramel is about the only discernible flavor other than corn. A good alternative to BMC lights, but again, nothing special, and I probably wonít buy it again. The thinness/watery side comes through in the finish, where everything just goes away.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
A clear golden pour with white head. The aroma is mostly faint grains. The light body has a thin texture and average carbonation. The taste is mildly sweet with a quick, clean finish. Too watery for me.

Shiner Light. Yeah, that Blonde is just too big and bold for me sometimes. Filtered tan color, respectable head. Macro corny brewery smell. Wow, this sort of sucks. Has a touch of amber malt or something. Some twisted down and broken fruity Ale tones. Faint bitter hop balance. Gross, weak malt liquor aftertaste. Unimpressive.

Gold color. Grain and hops aroma. Taste is sweet malt, corn, grassy hops. Clean and crisp, very drinkable. As far as light beer goes, itís pretty good. Overall however, pretty blah...but what do you expect.

I wasnít expecting much out of this brew simply because it is from Texas and there arenít too many things from Texas that I can say I like. Surprisingly, it wasnít bad. Light and refreshing. Very drinkable. I just cracked open the Shiner sampler pack so weíll see how this turns out.

Surprisingly a good light beer. Pours yellow with a little head. Nice flavor for this type of beer. Actually one of my favorite lights!
