COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Shiner Light is a full-flavored, deep amber light beer. Our brewmaster blends choice Munich malt and select hops with pure artesian water to create a beer thats lower in calories but full of the rich flavor you expect from shiner beers.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from a mix six pack .
Aroma: The nose has a light skunk aroma and really nothing else. Odd.
Appearance: It pours a light amber color with a small, foamy, white head. Lesser head retention, but then I wasn’t expecting much.
Taste: There is a very light grain and fruity note. Not much else. Pretty flavorless, but not that offensive.
Palate: Light and watery in terms of body with average carbonation leading to a short, tasteless finish.
Overall: I would call it a watered down Shiner Bock. Pretty tasteless and not worth trying.

It’s better than most light beers, and worse than most not light beers....... Clear, pale amber color with almost no head whatsoever. Smells like a slightly malted pale lager and tastes like a slightly malted pale lager. Tastes decent for the style, but still really watery with no finish.

rampmaster (643) - Alden, New York, USA - SEP 28, 2010
Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a shaker pint glass. The label has a brief description of the beer but no ABV or freshness date. Appearance: This beer has a very clear straw yellow color with a light soapy head on top that quickly dissipates. Only a small ring of bubbles is left and lacing is nil. Smell: The aroma is light clean and a little bready with the slightest hint of grassy hops. Taste/Palate: It’s simple, clean and light bodied. Light bready maltiness brings mild sweetness for the light hops to balance. The texture is light and well carbonated but not overly fizzy. Notes: For a Light Lager this one is not bad at all just a little boring but so is the style really.

The beer pours a clear yellow color with a white head. The aroma is strong grain with nothing else being present. The flavor is better than the aroma, but is still nothing special. I get some grain and wheat, as well as some sweet malt and some grassy hops. Medium carbonation and light mouthfeel. Not terrible, but nothing worth seeking out unless you really like light lagers.

Bottled. Poured clear straw golden with a short-lived white head. The aroma picked up light honey and pale malts with mild accents of earthy hoppage.. not bad, but not a whole lot going on. The flavor found mostly pale malt at the core, retaining a hint of sweet honey.. grainy sugars around along with some bitterness as an afterthought.. disappeared quickly off the back of the palate. Light-bodied and somewhat watery on the palate.. very drinkable, but that’s about it.

Clear light golden with a fizzy white head. Very faint malt aroma. Taste of malt with mild brassy notes.

Clear gold. Small head. Faded malt, spent hops, light aroma of dirty socks and white bread. Flavor is pretty nasty. Skunky malts and old worn out hops. Move along. They make better light beers in Oklahoma. I kid, I kid. Or am I joking?

From the bottle into my fancy-pants Samuel Adams 25th Anniversary superglass. Is it the glass, or is this a good looking beer? Gold with a thick white head, great carbonation and long retention. Is it the glass, or does this actually have a mild barleymalt grain aroma? Is it the glass, or does this beer actually have a bit of flavor, perhaps even a fruity note and a banana finish? Perhaps this is the best light beer out there. Naw, must be the shoes.
