12 oz bottle. Pours a nice gold with tall whitish head. The aroma is fresh hay and honey with a slight salty tinge. The flavor is husky malt with a definite watered-down quality. There is a bit of lemon peel and hay. The finish starts to get pretty dry after a few sips. Not dry in a refined way, more dry in a dusty, parched way. A step up from macro, but still lacking. At least it is attractive.

Not a good beer. It smelled like something dead and it tasted like a Keystone light.

(Bottle) Pours a clear golden amber body with a small white head. Aroma of grain, light lemon, and hay. Flavor of grain and grassy hops with a moderately dry finish.

From a 12 oz bottle with a twist off cap. Has a rather sweet heller aroma. Look is darker than most light beers. Off white head at first then it fades. Plenty of sparkling streams of carbonation visible within. First taste is non-offensive, but there is a slight amount of detectable hops in there. Much more flavor than the bigguns light beers. Easy to get along with, rather enjoyable to an extent. Just surprised about the small amount of hop bite this has. No, not a pale ale but certainly some hoppiness in there. Overall, a fairly decent experience, no ill attributes. Finish is friendly and nonconflicting. Really, much better than most light beers.

Dark golden with a minuscule white head that falls to a thin ring. Very light aroma - some sweet corn, wheat, and Chex cereal. Light grainy flavor, with more Chex goodness (heavy on rye notes), what I could swear was a bit of roast, and a lightly sour, husky finish. More flavor than I was expecting for a light beer, I must admit. Overly carbonated per the norm. Honestly, when compared with the other Shiner beers, not half bad.

Notes: A great beer to have with sushi. Goes down very smooth. Pleasent aroma.
A: Yellow & Gold with a light firm head.
S: Smells of cereal and other grain.
T: A hint of malt, cereal, and grian. For a light beer has a full bodied flavor of a pale lager.
D: Excellent drinkability. Very smooth. Very low bitterness with fine balance.

UPDATED: MAY 18, 2009 Pretty decent for light beer- has a lighty citrus character with a littlte cereal grain. Seems like a light Kolsch. If I was watching my calories, I’d drink this.

Overall Impression:
Not too bad for a light lager, this one at least has the resemblance of some flavor...
